* ''Fanfic/ChildrenOfAnElderGod'': In chapter 23, Shinji pleads with Asuka not to leave him. She replied she will not leave him, ever. Later [[spoiler:when they are considering leaving human civilization after the war,]] Asuka tells plaintively she will go wherever Shinji goes. She never considered parting with him.
-->'''Shinji''':''"I love you too, Asuka. Don't ever leave me. Please."''\\
'''Asuka''':''"I won't, [...] Never."''
* ''Fanfic/CodeGeassPaladinsOfVoltron'': Even after what Lelouch said about Zen when he learned Zarkon was her former Paladin, [[spoiler: she doesn’t hesitate to save him, Nunnally, and Sayoko]].
* ''Fanfic/CodePrime'':
** All the Black Knights and the Autobots have this towards Optimus Prime and Zero. Even when the Black Knights learn of Zero's true identity and Geass, they continue to stay with him.
*** Several best examples from the Black Knights include Kallen, Ohgi, Tamaki, Rai, and Shirley.
** Cornelia's loyalty to Britannia is outweighed by her love for Lelouch, Nunnally, and Euphemia. Said love leads her to [[spoiler:defect to the Black Knights at the end of ''R1'', so she can atone for failing her siblings, and her idol Marianne.]]
** Suzaku is extremely loyal to those he's very close to, particularly Lelouch, Nunnally, and Euphie. It's also {{deconstructed|Trope}} as a weak spot that others can exploit. [[spoiler:Megatron uses Suzaku's friendship with Lelouch and Nunnally to blackmail Suzaku into following his orders, regardless of moral compunctions, or their existence will be revealed to the Emperor.]]
** Guilford's loyalty to Cornelia also counts as a ShipTease. [[spoiler:When Cornelia joins the Autobots and Black Knights and renounces her royal status, Guilford remains by her side. It's also deconstructed as BlindLoyalty, as Guilford admits that he should have spoken up several times whenever Cornelia blinded by her pride and anger.]]
** Nonette is more loyal to [[spoiler:Rai]] then she is to Britannia. [[spoiler:She became a Knight of the Round to avenge Rai's supposed demise and see the Emperor removed from power, by force if necessary. Her loyalty soon leads to her defecting from Britannia shortly after the SAZ Massacre.]]
** Like in canon, Jeremiah to Marianne, and in turn Lelouch and Nunnally.
** All the Glinda Knights hold this toward Marrybell as TrueCompanions, especially Oldrin.
** Dreadwing and Skyquake were loyal to the Decepticon cause, and to Megatron. [[spoiler:However, Skyquake's loyalty dropped when he tried to stop Megatron from destroying Cybertron, and paid for it with his life. After Dreadwing learns the truth of Cybertron's destruction, and Skyquake's death, he switches his loyalty to Euphemia, even sacrificing his life for her so she can escape.]]
** Despite his stoic and emotionless nature, Akito is dedicated to protecting Leila, his commanding officer. Lelouch notes how it's similar to his protection of Nunnally keeping him going for many years after dying inside.
** Xingke to Empress Tianzi, doubling as BigBrotherInstinct.
* In ''Fanfic/TheConfectionaryChronicles'', while Hermione initially pledged her worship to Loki/Gabriel in return for justice on the bullies who drove her sister to suicide, as Loki spends more time with her and Hermione essentially becomes his high priestess before she even starts at Hogwarts, it is stated more than once that the two are truly devoted to each other, Loki giving Hermione new insights into the magical world and Hermione in turn often assuring Loki that he will always be her god.
* In ''Fanfic/ChildOfTheStorm'', while rarely explicitly stated, [[TrueCompanions the Avengers]] all have this towards each other.
** In reference to the above, Natasha's former mentor and father figure Ivan Petrovich comments on how the Avengers have her loyalty, in tones that imply that this is a very rare thing indeed.
** As is increasingly noted later in the second book, Ron has a very strong and deep sense of loyalty, with Uhtred - Harry's Sworn Sword, who shares that trait - recognising the like in him, along with a number of others. Magneto actually cites that, along with Ron's strategic mind, courage, and above-average magical power and intelligence, as reasons that he would have considered him a prime recruit "in the old days". However, as is increasingly noticed, another pattern with Ron's loyalty is that he expects it to be reciprocated and takes it very badly when it isn't. Since Harry has a tendency to a) try and sideline Ron and Hermione to protect them from the experiences that have broken him, b) be economical with the truth on a good day, this is a source of significant tension between the two.
** Around the same time, it is also noted that Harry has this trait. if he decides that you're his friend, there is no limit to how far he will go for you. This can be reassuring, but given his power-levels by the second book and sometimes flexible morality, it can be ''terrifying''.
** The Winter Soldier's loyalty to Natasha is perhaps one of his defining traits, and she is a key motivator in his [[spoiler: breaking free of his brainwashing and resultant HeelFaceTurn]].
* In ''Fanfic/TheHavocSideOfTheForce'', Harry Potter manages to inspire this in everyone he befriends on any level, partially because he's such a BenevolentBoss. Anakin's mother was offered a position in Chancellor Palpatine's retinue but turned it down so she could stay a kitchen hand on Harry's ship. A minister goes out of her way to have a former lieutenant in Naboo's military work for Harry and openly lies to the committee investigating him. Lastly, Anakin makes it clear that his friendship to Harry far outweighs his loyalty to the Jedi Order (at least partially because Harry's the reason Anakin could buy his mother's freedom).
* ''Fanfic/LastChildOfKrypton'': In Chapter 9 of the rewrite when Shinji confesses his feelings Asuka demands this from him. He answers she already has it.
* In ''Fanfic/LostInCamelot'', when the time-displaced Bo meets the fifth-century version of her future lover, Dyson, they soon establish a "new" dynamic of this Dyson as the loyal subject of Bo in her role as Camelot's fae ruler, particularly since Bo already has Merlin and Morgana as lovers and this Dyson therefore never has any reason to see her that way himself. This loyalty is so great that [[spoiler:Dyson agrees to accompany Merlin and Morgana when travelling to seek the aid of the Blood King to cure Bo when she takes Morgause's curse into herself to save Camelot and Morgana]].
** The sequel fic, ''The Lost Kingdom'', has Morgana observing that Gorlois (who she currently still believes was her biological father) had this to Uther, to the extent that he allowed Uther to take the throne after the campaign of conquest that established Camelot even though he played such an important role that Gorlois could have made a claim to be king himself.
** When Dyson presents himself to the Blood King and explains the reason they have come to see him, the Blood King is openly impressed by Dyson's loyalty to Bo, to the extent that the Blood King assures Dyson he'll cure Bo even if she isn’t his granddaughter on the grounds that she must be a remarkable person to have inspired such devotion.
* ''Fanfic/TheNightUnfurls'' has a lot of examples.
** PlatonicLifePartners Kyril and Evetta take this trope to the LogicalExtreme. The two cannot die ([[ResurrectiveImmortality or rather, be killed permanently]]), and their relationship is characterised by trust, respect, affection, devotion, and reciprocity towards each other. Evetta stays by his side so long as he's alright, while Kyril expresses his gratitude by making time for them together.
** The contracts [[TheApprentice Sanakan, Hugh, Lily, and Soren]] sign to become a HunterOfMonsters also count as oaths to serve under Kyril's command, [[InvokedTrope invoking]] this trope. The fact that they are more than willing to train and fight alongside their master goes on to show how much loyalty the four of them have to their MentorInSourArmor. Lily, in particular, [[MyMasterRightOrWrong admits that Kyril, for all of his morally questionable actions, has earned her loyalty]].
** Kyril's consistent asskicking in battle not only earns him the opportunity to [[AsskickingLeadsToLeadership lead]], but also inspires loyalty among his company, so strong that his men would follow him to hell if he had asked. This also generates high morale, bolstering the [[MenOfSherwood army's]] effectiveness. In one instance, Kyril has to say "please" and order ArmyScout Indriga and those under her command to stay behind and support the others while Kyril and his apprentices press on into the hornet's nest that is the central estate of Rad -- Indriga is unwilling to leave his superior out there because of her loyalty, while Kyril cannot allow his subordinates to follow him because he is very invested in his men's safety and they ''will not'' be a RedshirtArmy.
** Any LadyAndKnight dynamic in the story tends to have the "knight" (Claudia, Chloe) exhibit this towards their "lady" (Celestine, Olga). Besides their protective instinct, both Claudia and Chloe are not [[YesMan Yes-Women]], as they won't hesitate to question their liege's decisions, especially when they [[ForYourOwnGood feel like their liege's well being is threatened]] due to said decisions. The latter situation is also why they are willing to call out Kyril for his supposedly negative influence towards their lieges, even if it means BullyingADragon.
** Claudia's loyalty to her husband Klaus is such that when he is put under protective custody by Kyril, she dares to challenge the uber-warrior to keep Klaus safe (i.e., BullyingADragon).
** This trope also applies for the villains / {{mooks}} as well, thanks to Vault's status as TheAce and VillainWithGoodPublicity. Not even the threat of laceration by a bloodied Saw Cleaver is enough to deter them into fighting for the Black Dogs' cause.
** In the remastered version, Kyril declares the "protective instinct" variant of this trope towards the small company who joined him in his GreatEscape, vowing to lead them out of harm's way should the meeting with [[TheAlliance the Seven Shields Alliance]] go awry. In return, the members of the band each resolve to stand with him no matter what.
--->'''Kyril''': There is no doubt that you have done all that has been asked of you, and more besides. Regardless, I will do my utmost to protect you. You are all my responsibility. I led you out of the desert. I will lead you out of these halls if our fortunes turn ill. ''*bows his head*''\\
'''Soren''': I'll stand with you Boss. Wherever and whatever happens.\\
'''Boris''': I will as well. You could have left all of us for dead but you didn't do that. It would be shameful if I didn't keep following you, Boss.\\
'''Soren''': Fred? You gonna say something too?\\
'''Fredrick''': Yeah, what they said. I don't trust you, Hunter. I'm only going along with this because someone has to keep these two idiots safe.\\
'''Kyril''': As you wish.
* ''Fanfic/ThousandShinji'': When Asuka tells Shinji that she is afraid of losing him, Shinji replies she will never lose him. When Asuka muses he can not promise that, Shinji replies he can and he does and, even if he died, his soul would find his way back to her from whatever afterlife he found.
* ''FanFic/SonOfTheSevenKingdoms'': William tends to inspire this in those around him. The Blades, the Legions, and the Dawnguard are all loyal to him to the last member, and his closest friends view him as a brother.
* The maid Claire towards the sorceress Circe in ''[[Fanfic/TheZeroContextSeries Zero Context: Taking Out the Trash]]''. When she discovers that her mistress is acting severely out of character by getting engaged to a known sleazeball, Claire joins an alliance intended to crash the wedding. When threatened over the matter by someone who wasn't entirely in the loop, she makes her stance known:
-->"I am loyal and dedicated to my Lady. I always have been, and always will be for as long as she and I live. As one of her maids, it is my duty not only to do all the work that is expected of me, but to protect her against any discernible threats to the best of my ability. A minister goes out of her way to have a former lieutenant in Naboo's military work for Harry and openly lies to the committee investigating him.
