Depending on the work, the antagonist in question may actually interact with their previous selves though most of them never do.

** NOTE (08/10/23) Now that I think about it, this is basically just AndNowForSomeoneCompletelyDifferent but more specific though who knows, I might be wrong about this.

* '''NPC Promoted To Enemy''': Side characters end up used by an arc villain as one off antagonists or as part of their agenda, which often gives these characters more development.
