* TheScrappy or My Least Favorite Characters in all of Media:
** [[WesternAnimation/AmericanDad Roger the Alien]] (How did this vile beast become an EnsembleDarkhorse? I don't really see what's charming about a character who worsens the lives of everyone around him, yet they keep him around for really no reason at all. Yeah, even though [[{{Jerkass}} the rest of the Smiths aren't exactly saints]], [[ThickerThanWater I can understand why they stick together]]; why do they tolerate Roger? Even his FreudianExcuse is weak; it is possible to be [[JerkAss rude and bitchy]] without being [[TheSociopath a selfish douchebag with no conscience who ruins people's lives constantly]])
** [[WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy Peter and Lois Griffin]] (Probably Lois a bit more, because she is the perfect example of my second problem with the BumblingDad trope; see Pet Peeve Tropes below. In any event, I don't know why there seems to be an unwritten law that every protagonist in a cartoon targeted at adults needs to be an unlikable {{Jerkass}}. It's just plain unpleasant and makes me wonder [[EightDeadlyWords why I should even care about watching these people's misadventures]])
** [[WesternAnimation/{{Frozen}} Queen Elsa]] (I really wish they had made her a redeemed villain because I probably would have liked her character better. The mopey sad sack she is in the final product, who gets EasilyForgiven in the end (even though she [[KarmaHoudini barely seems to show remorse for her actions nor even WANT to try fixing them)]][[ProtagonistCenteredMorality just because she's one of the main characters]] just irritates me on every level. * GothsHaveItHard -Somewhat subverted. I've dealt with anxiety for most of my life and clinical depression since my teens. I also embrace Goth music, fashion, and aesthetics, and [[FreakyIsCool love anything macabre and mysterious.]] However, the two things aren't related (I didn't even start to embrace Goth subculture until my late 20s).

* {{Tomboy}} -As a child, I was sort of this, being a fan of TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles and MightyMorphinPowerRangers, and [[ThePigPen loving to play in the mud (as well as searching for worms and other creepy-crawlies).]] Befitting a child of TheNineties, I was also a big fan of gross-out humor.

* {{Transgender}} -Specifically, nonbinary/genderfluid. I still look pretty feminine, which I'm mostly okay with; I describe my gender as follows: "there are two wolves inside me; one is a [[CampGay feminine bisexual man]] and the other is a ButchLesbian."

** BadassBookworm - ...and I also like kickboxing and doing strength workouts [[DreamCrushingHandicap (chronic pain has put the kibosh on that for the time being)]], not to mention a no-nonsense attitude to calling out bigotry and bullying.
* BrokenBird -Because of a past of bullying and familial abuse that ultimately led to my depression (and social isolation/trust issues), but I'm getting better.
* BunnyEarsLawyer -I talk and write about serious issues but enjoy letting my quirks shine through (for example, making a video response about the serious implications of body-shaming wherein I use stuffed animals to act out a scene between a doctor and their fat patient).
** {{Cloudcuckoolander}} -See above. I also once mused on Twitter about whether or not the eponymous Toaster from WesternAnimation/TheBraveLittleToaster was [[ViewerGenderConfusion was male or female]], only to then remark what a strange thing that was to wonder about a sentient appliance.

* DontShootTheMessage- Really, the main point of my "Intersectionality and Veganism" series; yes, a lot of [[AnimalWrongsGroup vocal vegan activists go about things in an abrasive way and aren't always that great at conveying their message effectively]], but that doesn't mean veganism is invalid.

* DeadpanSnarker -Often as a coping mechanism.

* TermsOfEndangerment -An odd example; I tend to call people "sweet pea," "babe," "darling," or "cupcake" [[PassiveAggressiveKombat when I get annoyed with them]], usually to keep me from using harsher words (oddly enough, I also use the term "sweet pea" as a [[AffectionateNickname genuine term of affection]] for my [[CanineCompanion dogs]])
** TheNicknamer -Occasionally.

* MagicalNegro, MagicalAsian, InspirationallyDisadvantaged and MagicalNativeAmerican -again...I guess these tropes are meant to be positive, but...they're not. Because these characters are only present to help the (usually white) heroes on their journey. What would be more positive would be to have such characters exist as characters rather than plot devices, or to even have their own stories.

* SadistShow -Not sadist shows themselves, per se. I guess I'm more annoyed that each new SadistShow (especially comedy shows targeted at adult audiences, animated and live action) that comes out tries as hard as it can to [[DarkerAndEdgier top the one before it]]. At their worst, they become so bleak and mean-spirited that it makes me wonder [[DarknessInducedAudienceApathy why I should care about the characters or the show at all]].
* SassyBlackWoman -I would have much less of a problem with trope if it weren't EVERYWHERE. There are many different ways to write black women and girls, you know. [[UnfortunateImplications Just like...any other female character.]]

* TheTeetotaler -because I'm Straight Edge (I've honestly always hated the taste of alcohol).

** [[LittleBigBrother Little Big Sibling]] -my little brothers all tower over me (since they're all teens and older).

Then again, I am probably a downplayed/subverted version, due to my occasional snarkiness, skepticism of everything (including the kind of [[AllNaturalSnakeOil pseudoscience]] other vegans and GranolaGirl-types latch onto), and tendency toward being a [[ThePerfectionist perfectionist]] ControlFreak, rather than the laid-back type this trope suggests(and my videos are often critiques of other vegans who have more of the [[StrawVegetarian Straw Vegan mindset]]; I personally favor meeting people where they're at rather than judging and scolding them).

Earlier in that video, I stated that I [[CombatCompliment actually quite liked]] [[FreakyIsCool his aesthetic,]] but hated that he was using it to be a racist, transphobic tool and that he was giving all of [[DarkIsNotEvil us respectable freaks a]] [[StopBeingStereotypical bad name]].

** TheNicknamer -Occasionally; I've dubbed fellow atheist YouTuber [[BrokenPedestal Armoured]] [[BitchInSheepsClothing Skeptic]] [[Anime/SailorMoon "Tuxedo Mask"]].

* TheWoobie -I certainly never seek to come off as [[DontYouDarePityMe looking for sympathy]] in my videos, but I talk about my struggles with mental illness (including the tangentially related [[KidsAreCruel past of]] [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer having been bullied]] that contributed to it) quite openly, and have come close to tears a few times.

* GiveGeeksAChance -I really want to see more female geeks given a chance (without a [[UnfortunateImplications needless makeover]]). LGBTQ variations are rare, too (the closest I can think of is [[{{RENT}} Maureen and Joanne]], and even then, that element of their relationship is to a large degree downplayed); more of those, please...

* AllAdultAnimationIsSouthPark -I'd love to see more WesternAnimation shows targeted at adults that A. aren't always comedy (an animated sci-fi, action, fantasy, or drama show for adults could be great), and B. actually approach adult issues...like an adult.

* BumblingDad -Because A. it's been done so many times that it can't be original anymore, and B. it's usually just a tool to make the wife look better by comparison (especially frustrating when she's far from a saint herself, as it is in many newer cases of the trope).
* ButtMonkey - WebOriginal/TheMysteriousMrEnter was right when he called this trope an "admission of laziness." People like to watch characters, not punchlines (and it's unpleasant to watch characters I like, or at least characters who don't deserve it, get put through hell for no real reason other than "tee hee, s/he's the ButtMonkey! Laugh, damn it!" Although I mind it less if it's a character who [[{{Jerkass}} deserves it]] (and I don't consider having [[FlatCharacter little personality,]] or [[ProtagonistCenteredMorality disliking/ being annoyed by the main character]] to indicate "deserving it;" more if they are legitimately evil and the treatment is more like LaserGuidedKarma).

* DarkAndTroubledPast and FreudianExcuse -what gets me is that I don't actually think these tropes are inherently bad [[TropesAreTools (for example, they can be good for giving characters depth and making them more three-dimensional]]; Disney/BigHero6 handled this beautifully). But something that gets me is that a lot of times, they're used in place of any redeeming traits (almost as if the tragic back-story IS the redeeming trait the writer/s are going for). It comes off as slightly forced at best, and emotionally manipulative at worst. And this often leads to such characters, protagonists and antagonists alike, [[DracoInLeatherPants getting sympathetic treatment from their fans that they don't really deserve]].

* FauxActionGirl -I'm not a person who subscribes to the idea that there's [[TropesAreNotBad something inherently bad]] about the DamselInDistress trope [[DamselScrappy (provided the character isn't otherwise]] [[TheLoad completely useless]]), but if a character is meant to be an ActionGirl, she should actually be allowed to be one.
* GirlOnGirlIsHot -because it reduces (or is used to reduce) queer characters to props or [[SweepsWeekLesbianKiss publicity stunts]] (that in particular seems to happen more with [[MenActWomenAre queer women than queer men]].

* HollywoodAtheist -One of my videos (released on September 20th) was a ReasonYouSuckSpeech directed at fellow atheist YouTube personalities for...essentially, [[StopBeingStereotypical perpetuating exactly the image a lot of people have of atheists because of this trope]].

* AmbiguouslyBrown -I am a black woman, but having mixed ancestry (that we know of, African (we know that at least my mother's side comes from Mozambique), English, Scottish, and Blackfoot) gives me a... ButNotTooBlack appearance. I've started doing my hair natural, which decreases the ambiguity.

My longest CanineCompanion was my family's [[MisterMuffykins Shetland Sheepdog]], [[TomboyishName Skylar]] (she passed away in May 2019), and mischievous Shih Tzu/puggle mix [[MeaningfulName Loki]] has filled that role as well. Both of them have made occasional cameos in my videos.

* NightmareFetishist -I love the macabre, and Goth style, and the aesthetic appeal of skulls (I even have a plastic skull decoration in my room; his name is [[Theater/{{Hamlet}} Yorick]]). I think bats, bugs, rats, and black cats are the cutest things ever (admittedly, in the case of black cats, at least, it might be TheWoobie factor, since [[TearJerker they're often the least adopted cats in pounds, shelters, and rescues (the same is true of black dogs)]]). Additionally, I love Halloween, have a fascination with true crime stories (although the ones involving little children being harmed [[BigSisterInstinct hit too close to home]]), and despite being religiously skeptical, I enjoy reading about Wicca and the paranormal. I'm also a big fan of Disney villains, and have said that the one drawback of the newer Disney Villains (many of whom [[Disney/BigHero6 I like]] [[Disney/{{Zootopia}} and think]] [[WoobieDestroyerofWorlds are handled]] [[FromNobodyToNightmare brilliantly)]] is that there aren't any [[FamilyUnfriendlyDeath creative death scenes,]] like in Disney/{{Tarzan}} or Disney/{{Mulan}}. I might qualify as PerkyGoth, [[PerpetualFrowner easy]] [[SugarAndIcePersonality on the "perky."]]

* OtakuSurrogate -I love comic books and cheesy sci-fi movies.

* HeroesLoveDogs -I don't plan on having kids, and have instead voiced my desire to become a [[CrazyCatLady dog mom]] [[KindHeartedCatLover (I love cats, too]], but I'm allergic to them). My current CanineCompanion is my family's [[MisterMuffykins Shetland Sheepdog]], [[TomboyishName Skylar]], and recently, mischievous Shih Tzu/puggle mix [[MeaningfulName Loki]] joined the family. Both of them occasionally make cameos in my videos, but I seldom see them since I've moved out.

* SassyBlackWoman -Of [[TheSnarkKnight the quiet,]]non-JiveTurkey-ing, [[DeadpanSnarker exasperated sarcasm]] variety. Bits of the straight version come through in my videos at times.

* ChildHater -or, more accurately, the [[AcceptableLifestyleTargets constant portrayals of childfree-by-choice people]] [[DoubleStandard (especially women)]] of being Child Haters. I like children (I wouldn't care about being a CoolAunt if I didn't); that doesn't mean that I have to want to have my own.
