* BrokenBase: Discussed. Frobman says that SonicAdventure2 was the game that broke the fandom, being released on a Nintendo console, being too serious to those who love the lighthearted Sonic games, and the new fans who thought Sonic was always that serious, dark and edgy. Also, the infamous Sonic fan characters started around here when Shadow was introduced,Although that might have started earlier with SonicUnderground with Manic & Sonia.

* HypocriticalHumor: Roger has issues with the animation of Sonic Color. Luke, of course, reacts the best way about it

--> '''Luke, showing animations done by Roger''': [[LimitedAnimation You have issues with the animation?]] Your stupid little animations are supposed to be superior then, huh?

--> '''Roger''': “[[OldShame Ah! Don’t show them again!]]”

** When talking about recolors, Luke started to complain that there was nothing more pathetic that someone designing themselves as Sonic characters with minor changes and adopting a badass personality. Roger and Frobman noticed the hypocrisy with an AsideGlance.

* GunsAndGunplayTropes: Discussed. Roger doesn’t seem to understand what’s the big deal with Sonic using a gun, since other Cartoon characters use weapons, like JazzJackrabbit, [[BuckyOHareAndTheToadWars BuckyOHare]], or BikerMiceFromMars.

* BerserkButton:

** Roger hates it when someone says that all Sonic games after SonicAdventure2 were dark, trying to follow them since the only games that tried to be dark were ShadowThehedgehog and SonicTheHedgehog2006, only two games compared to the others released at the time.
--> '''Roger''': What the hell do you mean all Sonic games have dark storylines? Maybe SonicBattle, maybe SonicUnleashed. When talking about the Shadow game and 2006, I’m pretty sure those games [[PortingDisaster have bigger issues]] than just the dark story”
** Roger also gets tired when people make the assumption that a story is good or not depending [[TrueArtIsAngty if it's dark or not.]]

* GenreShift: Discussed. Frobman, unlike Roger and Luke, doesn’t like SonicAdventure2 that much, and one of the reasons is how different it is compared with the first game.

* SelfDeprecation: Roger described himself as a “horrible, pathetic, bad crappy animator” in episode 3.

* FridgeHorror: They noticed something about Soniccd's plot, and it's that either Amy followed Sonic like an idiot to Little Planet, or she is from there and at the end of the game, she is an orphan living on a mysterious planet.

--> '''Roger''': That’s dark”

* {{Flanderization}}: Luke notes that Sonic CD nonstanding, Amy was actually quite complex during the SonicAdventure games, with her focus on Sonic was not because she wanted to marry him but because she wanted to get out of her boring life, to do the right thing and she admired Sonic for being an ActionHero and wanted him to respect her. She even went against Sonic to protect her robot friend. Even during SonicShuffle which is [[CanonDiscontinuity not canon]] but was written before SonicAdventure2, Amy says “Forget about Sonic, look at my clothes!”,something that surprised Roger. During SonicAdventure2, which is the game that started the idea of her being in love with Sonic, Luke suggested that this is an act to make herself more comfortable around danger, and make Sonic believe she is not intimidated by the adventure.

** Roger and Luke only talked about story in the Sonic games at first. They now talk a bit about gameplay, mostly with a guest character.
** Luke notes that, while Amy being in love with Sonic was apparent in SonicCD, during SonicAdventure she doesn’t seem to be that romantically interested in Sonic, being a fangirl at best. The first time Amy and Sonic interact, it's Amy asking Sonic, a well known hero who is occupied with the Chaos plot, to take care of a little bird.
--> Luke: She is a comic relief character, but her comedy doesn’t come from the fact she is an insane psychopath that wants to marry Sonic, the jokes come from [[WideEyedIdealist her childlike assumptions of the world at stage. ]] While Sonic is stopping monsters and robots, she is worried more about one little bird. This is funny, but also important.

* ValuesDissonance: Discussed. They noticed that a lot of the problems in the series come through the Japanese way of telling stories. They suggested that maybe this is the reason why [[SonicThehedgehog2006 Elise]],[[SonicStorybookSeries Shara, Merlina]] and [[SonicThehedgehogTheMovie Sarah]] were created in the first place.It's because the Japanese are not known for writing about furry animals outside of toddler cartoons. Compared with the West where there are entire genres and a [[FurryFandom subculture]], and could feel awkward if the love interest was a talking animal. In this case, if a Japanese show is about funny animals, they will create an AudienceSurrogate like [[SonicX Chris Thorndyke]] or [[{{Doraemon}} Nobita Noby]], explaining why Sonic was so OutOfFocus in his own show.
** When [[StarFox Krystal]] was mentioned, Roger had to say the fact that she was not created by the Japanese, but by a [[{{Rare}} British company.]]

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: InUniverse, At one point in SonicAdventure2, Amy is trying to take Knuckles out of the sewers [[AbortedArc only for that to go nowhere, and being forgotten]]. Roger has always been weirded out by this scene.

* CharacterDevelopment: A character arc, more specifically, but Luke talks about Amy's development, starting from a DamselInDistress, to a girl who wanted to return to adventure and become part of the heroes gang,learning her place in the team and ending with her speech to Shadow who ultimately, saves the world. However due to flanderization, the next time we see her is trying to force Sonic to marry her.
