* One day in my grade 11 Chemistry class, we had an assignment on petrochemicals. I learned the concept of Catalytic Cracking, and wondered where I had heard it before. And then I remembered: Oh yeah. [[{{Portal}} The fluid catalytic cracking unit that made shoes for orphans.]] I feel like such a nerd.
* I noticed that there are some very unnerving parallels between [[{{TheCatcherInTheRye}} Holden Caulfield]] and [[{{GundamSeedDestiny}} Shinn Asuka.]] They both have [[{{DeadLittleSister}} Dead Younger Siblings,]] and both [[{{Wangst}} Wangsty]] [[{{EmoTeen}} Emo Teens]] on which YourMileageMayVary. Personally, I find Holden to be a lot more tolerable: at least he can manage to remain the [[{{SpotlightStealingSquad}} Main Character in his own book.]]
* After watching the {{Othello}} movie in grade 11 English, we were speculating as to why Iago cuddled up next to Othello's leg right before he died. Crack ensued: We started speculating on the FoeYay between Othello and Iago, and the LesYay between Emilia and Desdemona.
* After finishing reading KingLear in my grade 12 English, I realized the parallel between Lear's messed up family, and [[{{AvatarTheLastAirbender}} the Fire Lord's]] family. And then all sympathy for Lear went out the window, because Lear turned into Ozai, and Cordelia turned into Zuko. And Zuko is lurve.
