Referenced tentacles. I\'ve worn them, came up in an example. Sorry.

Describe DanaO here.

Will do. Promise. Just not right now. Or at least, only in sporadic bursts.

"DanaO" and variants of the name usually refers to either a specific person named Dana Otken (while the name's surprisingly popular, very few people with it seem to have a significant online presence), or the persona said individual has chosen for online games and light role-playing (not in any euphemistic way).

Various tropes used by this contributor in the course of playing online:
* BadassCreed: Wrote a half-decent one almost accidentally while in the KingdomOfLoathing forums, following the April 1st speculation regarding the appearance of four-shadowed mimes (yes, this is how the game goes...) and a rumored invasion into 3-D space by the "Humorless Ones" (link to the full thread, which makes slightly more sense and is prettier):
->In real life, I've worn whiteface and have the photos to prove it.
->- I fear no mimes; Dune fear is the mime-killer.
->I passed a middle-school geometry test after the fact by proving the sum of the interior angles of a triangle can equal 52 degrees. (And no longer, sadly, have the paper to prove that.)
->- I fear not alien geometries; for we are all born in one and (click heels) there's no place like home.
->I've also worn tentacles (due to a cracked camera, no photos for a few months). Getting away from the real world, my character had to room with Yukari Yakumo for a while. While her girlfriend the RNG was staying over. Who sleepwalks.
->- I fear not tentacles, suckers, or arbitrary anatomical arrangements, for I have had spaghetti breakfast for breakfast.
->And I'm not that unusual around here. How long would a group called "The Humorless Ones" last around here?
->- We fear neither insanity nor silliness nor total lack of either, for we play Kingdom of Loathing.
->Bring them on.
* Scrub: And not ashamed of it. Legacy of precociousness. Never learned to enjoy winning a game any more than losing one (or to care much about team affiliation). These days if I'm going to play a game which is competitive, I prefer enough players to get lost in the shuffle. I usually also have personal goals, and may apply personal restrictions, which have nothing to do with the intended point of the game and everything to do with what I happen to find personally satisfying or amusing, or what might make the game tell a more interesting story. I don't tell anybody else how they should play, and don't whine - or usually care - about losing because of this. The people who find even this irritating tend to be playing as a socially acceptable way to cause others pain, and I don't really sympathize with them.
* WallOfText: Comes from learning to both read and type very early in life.
