I no longer watch any shows on television, but there are a great variety of animated television series I appreciate, and like as well, including vintage classics such as the Disney cartoons (specifically the old-school ones), the Looney Tunes, Felix the Cat, Betty Boop, Popeye the Sailor, Rocky & Bullwinkle, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear, Underdog, George of the Jungle, and The Smurfs. I also appreciate and like animated shows that are more modern, such as The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Batman: The Animated Series, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Hey Arnold!, The Angry Beavers, KaBlam, Dexter's Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Codename: Kids Next Door, and Phineas and Ferb. I have yet to give My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic a try to see if I like it.

Notice that The Powerpuff Girls isn't listed among my likes of modern animated series. That is because I hate that show with a passion.

When the discussion of modern animated series is brought up, particularly those of the "90s", The Powerpuff Girls is often brought up. That is something I don't understand. I know we all have a wide variety of opinions and all, but I just don't like The Powerpuff Girls. That show is, in my humble opinion, among the most overrated animated series of all time.

My thoughts on The Powerpuff Girls:

When the discussion of modern animated series is brought up, particularly those of the "90s", The Powerpuff Girls is often brought up. That is something I don't understand. I know we all have a wide variety of opinions and all, but I just don't like The Powerpuff Girls. That show is, in my humble opinion, among the most overrated animated series of all time.

The Powerpuff Girls is a series that barely any effort, time, or thought was put into, as far as I'm concerned. In one episode, a happy, innocent clown is hit by a bleach truck that transforms him into an evil mime that is bent on petrifying all life and turning all of Townsville black and white. Once the Powerpuff Girls restore color to everything, and I'm glad that the clown is back to his good, old self, the girls beat him up and send him to jail. I mean, come on, taking an innocent clown, transforming him into something evil, then making him pay for it by having him beat up and sent to jail? Oh, the injustice! Although the clown appears in his good, old self in a later episode.

In another episode, the girls' next-door neighbor Harold Smith threatens to melt Professor Utonium's head with a frigging blow-dryer at the dinner table! Then, the girls start a food fight which results in the police barging in and arresting Harold, and his wife Maryann really pissed off that her little dinner party was ruined. The Smiths reappear in another episode, vowing to destroy the Powerpuff Girls, and despite what the girls think about Maryann's reasoning, I think the Smiths were totally justified in going after those arrogant little girls.

Another episode features the Sandman, who just wants to get some rest, so he turns the whole world asleep. But the girls, being very selfish and arrogant as they are, plot to give the Sandman a series of nightmares and scare him into not going back to sleep. Oh, please! The girls could have come up with something better, like reasoning the error of his ways, or better yet, making some sort of compromise. I mean, they could have had robots or machines doing the Sandman's work for him during his times of slumber. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I have a deep interest in faster-than-light space travel and time travel, and hope to one day meet up with extraterrestrials who can give me input so I can change history (as in the past).
