I am a lover of stories, no matter the medium (although I have a special fondness for books). I might be slow to get into something, but once I do, I'll dive into it with a passion - and naturally, I'll scatter examples from it across the vast expanse of TV Tropes. I have far too many favorite books and movies to list, but I will allow you to guess two of them from my name and my quote.
I'm a bit of a GrammarNazi, but there's too much bad grammar around here to bother fixing it most of the time xD I hang out around the Get Help With English thread, and I'm always glad to help with proofreading.
A few of my favorite shows:
* ''PrincessTutu'', my favorite anime. The characters are great, the story is great, and it's very fairy tale-esque, which is always a plus for me. [[UnfortunateName Forget the title]]. [[GirlsShowGhetto It is not a frilly pink abomination]].
** Favorite Character: Fakir - you will believe that ballet is manly. Although [[BrokenBird Rue]] has started to grow on me, too.
* ''FruitsBasket'' - mainly the manga, but the anime is pretty good, too (I'd recommend you watch the anime first, because it'll just be disappointing after the manga). ''Lots'' of great characters, and also somewhat fairy tale-esque, albeit in a very different way than Tutu.
** Favorite Members of the Zodiac: [[CuteMute Kisa]] in the anime, because she reminds me a lot of myself when I was that age. Momiji and Kureno are tied in the manga, because I just love that brand of woobie.
* ''{{Monk}}''. I think it was the first TV series I watched when it was still airing (besides PBS), and although I watch a couple other USA Network shows, this one holds a special place in my heart. May you never run out of wipes, Mr. Monk.
* ''[[AvatarTheLastAirbender Avatar: The Last Airbender]]''. It is as amazing as I heard it was (fortunately I never saw the movie).
** Favorite Character: Zuko. Even in season 1, I was always saying "Aw, poor Zuko!"; this reached a crescendo in "Zuko Alone", which went something like "[[BigNo NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!]] [[TheWoobie Poor, poor Zuko...]]" I would've been pro-Zutara, [[WhatCouldHaveBeen if I had been watching while it was still on the air]].
Stuff I'm watching:
* ''DoctorWho''. Nine was interesting, Ten was awesome, and Eleven is adorable. Sorry, I just haven't gotten around to watching more than 80% of a Classic Who serial, but from what I saw of him, Four was pretty awesome, too.
** Favorite Companion: Rory. Don't get me started on him.
* ''TheLegendOfKorra''. Doesn't hold a candle to the original, but it's still interesting in comparison. The soundtrack is...interesting.
* The new ''StarWars'' movies. I've read some of the EU (up until ''FateOfTheJedi''), but honestly, TimothyZahn is the only good author (that I read). I wouldn't mind if they trampled all over the EU, but they simply must include Mara Jade. Thrawn would be an awesome addition, too, but mainly Mara. Still got my fingers crossed.
