* {{Anime/Cardcaptor Sakura}}: I blame my sister.
* [[{{Anime/Daily Lives Of High School Boys}} Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou]]: A more testosterone induced version of {{Anime/Lucky Star}}.
* {{Anime/Doraemon}}: If you're a western you probably don't know this gem. To put simply, its like if {{WesternAnimation/The Fairly Oddparents}} uses sci-fi gadgets instead of wishes, with a subtle way of educating the audience (sometimes).
* {{VideoGame/Inazuma Eleven}}: Why fighting [[{{Darker and Edgier}} aliens]] with {{The Power Of Friendship}} using [[{{Improbable Weapon User}} soccer]] while simultaneously adding a pinch of {{Cosmic Horror Story}} and {{Psychological Horror}} ends up as the greatest thing that happened in my life... at least until it was outdid by an [[{{Anime/Puella Magi Madoka Magica}} anime about magical girls getting their shit ruined]].
* {{Manga/Naruto}}: I'm only counting pre-Shippuden, because of how [[{{Filler}} obnoxiously]] [[{{Seasonal Rot}} long]] and [[{{Idiot Plot}} incoherent]] after that was.

* {{Manga/Shingeki no Kyojin}}: I was hesitant about this one, but seeing as its the only anime (in recent years) that has the [[{{Most Writers Are Male}} sensibility]] of not flinging [[{{Fanservice}} tits]] to the [[{{All Men Are Perverts}} audience]] I would say it earns the spot. Besides from having a engagingly [[{{Darker and Edgier}} dark]] plot with surprisingly interesting characters.

* {{VideoGame/Ace Combat}}: A bit hard to pin down my favorites, so I'll just settle this with a tie.
** {{VideoGame/Ace Combat 5 The Unsung War}}: A compelling narrative that tells the story of war and the soldiers who have to partake in said war, [[{{VideoGame/Spec Ops The Line}} though some games did a unintentionally better take at the topic...]]
** {{VideoGame/Ace Combat Zero The Belkan War}}: There were so much ways to mess up a game about dogfighting with references to Arthurian legends. So glad this was ''actually'' good.
* {{VideoGame/Ace Attorney}}: Best anime lawyer simulator. And it's a good example of localization done right... sort of.
* {{VideoGame/Alien Isolation}}: Never thought I would see [[{{VideoGame/Total War}} a mainly strategy game dev]] make a horror game that redefined jumpscares. Also a sentence I never thought I would ever type.
* {{VideoGame/Bastion}}: It's like reading an interactive book with Action-RPG elements.
* VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum: The only game I can think of that perfectly balances combat, stealth, and puzzle.
** VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity: Mechanically speaking it's better than VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum, but level design took a massive nosedive; which is unfortunate because it's one of VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum's biggest strength besides the things I've mentioned above.

* {{VideoGame/Fallout 3}}: *insert "War never changes" quote*
* {{VideoGame/Hotline Miami}}: [[{{Anime/Neon Genesis Evangelion}} Evangelion]] level amounts of MindScrew in a top down action game.
* {{VideoGame/Inazuma Eleven}}: Soccer RPG are something I didn't know I secretly wanted, it also manages to humanize the players.
* {{VideoGame/Metal Gear Rising Revengeance}}: The game tries so hard to make Raiden look cool and it's endearing for that.
** Minor advice: don't start out on Hard unless your intent was to powderize your controller after the Blade Wolf bossfight.
* [[{{VideoGame/Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor}} Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor]]: Like {{VideoGame/Inazuma Eleven}} it manages to humanize the Orcs through the Nemesis system, and also it's just really fun.
* {{VideoGame/Recettear An Item Shops Tale}}: It's strange how enjoyable running an item shop is, despite the fact you're just doing it to pay off your idiot father's debt.
* {{VideoGame/Shadow Warrior 2013}}: Slightly repetitive, but if you wondered if mankind finally invented a katana simulator (besides {{VideoGame/Metal Gear Rising}}) then you've found yourself one that's in first-person.
* {{VideoGame/Saints Row IV}}: Like [[{{Narm Charm}} Inazuma Eleven]]. It's so weird, it's good. Hell, the serious moments were actually good too.
* {{VideoGame/Sonic Generations}}: After a decade of bad Sonic games any good Sonic game is open to me.
* {{VideoGame/Spec Ops The Line}}: It's the only modern military shooter [[{{WebVideo/Zero Punctuation}} Yahtzee]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNhPMjbgkXA likes]], let that sink in...
* {{VideoGame/State Of Decay}}: While not as humanizing as [[{{VideoGame/Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor}} Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor]], the death of anyone of your community members is still pretty painful to see.
* {{VideoGame/The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion}}: All around better than Skyrim; despite the fetch quests.
* {{VideoGame/The Walking Dead}}: Haven't played season two, but it's still a really intense adventure game. (Don't get me started on Episode 2)
* {{VideoGame/Transistor}}: [[MindScrew I still don't know what the fuck]] [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion just happened]].
* {{VideoGame/Wolfenstein The New Order}}: I didn't expect Machine Games to love Wolfesntein so much, to the point where they could make a genuinely engaging narratives about the [[{{War Is Hell}} horrors of war]] and still lets you dual wield assault rifles.
* {{VideoGame/XCOM Enemy Unknown}}: On a list of things I'm addicted to besides [[{{VideoGame/Euro Truck Simulator}} Euro Truck Simulator 2]], this very wiki, and internet videos.

* {{WesternAnimation/Adventure Time}}: Some mathematicians would be very offended with this show...
* {{WesternAnimation/Avatar The Last Airbender}}: A {{Creator/Nickelodeon}} classic. The [[{{WesternAnimation/The Legend Of Korra}} sequel]] looks interesting, but I'd hate to binge watch that.
* {{WesternAnimation/Ben 10}}: [[{{I Hate Past Me}} I]] love this so much. And for some reason reminds me of [[{{Anime/Cardcaptor Sakura}} something else]] [[{{Anime/Puella Magi Madoka Magica}} I liked]].
* {{WesternAnimation/Chowder}}: As someone who has a background in cooking I have to admit I'm pretty biased for putting this one.
