** The actual physical English release of the game had at least 6 additional booster packs planned ([[https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Dragonflame Dragonflame]], [[https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Forbidden_Powers Forbidden Powers]], [[https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Ultimate_Wrath Ultimate Wrath]], [[https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Iron_Guardians Iron Guardians]], [[https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Summoned_Fury Summoned Fury]] and [[https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Magnetic_Storm_(Dungeon_Dice_Monsters) Magnetic Storm]]) to compliment the initial starter set. Only the first four would actually see release (in fairly limited quantities) while the later two never materialized. Even then, there are several monsters and items that never made it over even though they were included in the Japanese release of these early sets, making those additions unavailable outside Japan.

* BadExportForYou: As said on the main page for the tabletop game, the quality of the parts for the international version is significantly worse than the Japanese version. The Japanese version had a full board and plastic pathways, while the international version went with a paper mat and cardboard paths. Needless to say, it is ''significantly'' easier to play the game with the former compared to the latter, as the latter's cardboard paths would end up sliding around at the slightest bump.
