* DuelingDubs: See main page. There are FOUR in English, and none of them cover the entire series. 4Kids stopped at season three, Cinélume stopped at season 4, [=DuArt=] started in season 7, and Nickelodeon skipped the first two seasons, summarizing them with 4 one hour specials, and ended at season 6. You either have to watch the series with different voices, or skip the seasons a particular dub didn't do.

* CashCowFranchise: The show is real popular. About 100 countries have a dub of this show. And there is a musical, an ice skating show, two movies (one in 3-D), a spin-off (WesternAnimation/PopPixie), and a monthly magazine. And, of course, there's a ton of merchandise; in fact, Winx Club dolls were the third most popular dolls in the world one year. Oh, yeah and Rainbow S.p.A. is opening a theme park in 2011 with a life-sized version of Alfea Castle. Guess which characters they've used the most to promote the said park...

Added DiffLines:

* WordOfGod: After much debate following season four, it was eventually stated that Roxy was not a member of the Winx. In season 5 she was DemotedToExtra, only appearing in seven episodes.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: The Nickelodeon hiatuses made some of the fans so angry that a letter campaign was started. A lot of people just wanted the last three episodes of Season 5 to be released in America and for Winx to get a decent time slot.

** When season six stopped airing, the same thing happened. The fact that some of the unaired episodes were turned into a webisode marathon didn't help matters. Hell, even 4Kids treated it better than this! It took 2 years to finish season 6, when most countries had already begun season 7.

Hell, even 4Kids treated it better than this! It ultimately took 2 years to finish season 6, the season, when most countries had already begun airing season 7.7. It got to the point where even those who disliked the 4Kids version agreed that they gave the series much better treatment than Nickelodeon ever did. While the network's involvement with the franchise ended after Season 6, Season 7 being co-produced by Rai Fiction and dubbed by [=DuArt=], the show was now being broadcast on, of all networks, NickJr.

* PlayingAgainstType: Music/ArianaGrande Cat Valentine, who usually plays cheery Genki Girls, plays Diaspro in the Nickelodeon version. This ending up being a example where playing against type backfired, as Grande was criticized as being too soft spoken and having a bad case of DullSurprise. Partially due to the criticism, Grande was replaced in season 6.
