* CareerResurrection: For Creator/AnnaChlumsky. She returned to acting in 2005 after taking a hiatus to focus on college, having established herself as a child actress in TheNineties (notably with her role as Vada in ''Film/MyGirl'' and its [[Film/MyGirl2 sequel]]). She previously collaborated with Creator/ArmandoIannucci in ''Series/TheThickOfIt'' spin-off film ''Film/InTheLoop'', who remembered her while casting for ''Veep'' and chose her to play the role of Amy. The show's success revived Chlumsky's career, who would gain six Emmy nominations for her performance.

* AssumedWin: At the 2019 Emmy Awards, almost all predictions had Julia Louis-Dreyfus winning a seventh Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy. After all, not only had she won for each of the show's previous six seasons but Louis-Dreyfus had also just recovered from breast cancer and it being the show's final shot at a nomination made her win a sure thing. Instead, in a huge surprise, Creator/PhoebeWallerBridge won for ''Series/{{Fleabag}}''.
