** Creator/{{Toonami}} has decided to pick up the series as part of it's new expanded block, alongside fellow CN favorite ''SymBionicTitan'', giving them the support and reruns they needed which Cartoon Network itself never provided, though now at a very late time slot. Time will tell if this is enough to get both shows another season.
*** Unfortunately, both shows have been taken off in favor of ''LightNovel/SwordArtOnline'' and Season 2 of ''Anime/TheBigO''. Though ''WesterAnimation/SymBionicTitan'' will return, ''WesterAnimation/ThunderCats'' is suffering the worst of it, as Toonami is losing the rights to the show and won't be able to air it again. We can now only hope if its reruns on Toonami have been successful in garnering a second season.

** Not to mention Creator/WillFriedle (who is a very vocal ''WesternAnimation/ThunderCats'' and Tolkien fan). Also a PromotedFanboy as the original show is one of the reasons he got into animation. Creator/MatthewMercer and Creator/KevinMichaelRichardson are also big ''WesternAnimation/ThunderCats'' fans, and you can see all three geeking out [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSM8j8GDtZ8 here.]]

* PlayingAgainstType: Pamela Adlon is usually known for playing energetic boys in shows like ''WesternAnimation/KingOfTheHill'' and TimeSquad. Here, she plays Pumyra, a young woman with a major temper problem.

This series is produced by Creator/WarnerBros as they had acquired the post-1974 [[note]]all material before that was first acquired by [[Series/SaturdayNightLive Lorne Michaels]] through his company, Broadway Video (he had bought it from GE, who had owned R-B for a period in the mid-70s); in the mid 90s, he sold that off to Golden Books, and the library became part of Golden Books Family Entertainment; in 2002 that was spun off as Classic Media, and in 2012, Creator/DreamWorksAnimation acquired Classic Media[[/note]] Creator/RankinBass library when they acquired Creator/{{Lorimar}}-Telepictures in 1989 (Telepictures had bought R-B in 1978, then merged with Lorimar in 1986).

*** New info from an inside source indicates that the toy line isn't dead, and was a mistake made by Amazon.com which has been corrected. Bandai still seems to be supportive of the line. The rest concerning Cartoon Network is true though.

The rest concerning Cartoon Network is true though. It should be noted that Cartoon Network never aired any promotion of the new time, either on-air advertising or in their online media, so viewers who missed or had no access to the WB press releases had no idea where the show went.
