* RecycledSoundtrack: Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" is played over the end credits of Episode 5. "Fear and Loathing in New Vegas." The same song was used in the 1994 mini-series, over the shots of Project Blue in the beginning of the pandemic. And, it was also quoted in the book itself.

** In an interview with ''Entertainment Weekly'', Boone revealed that he had discussions with Music/MarilynManson about playing The Kid (a character who first appeared in the 1990 unabridged reissue of the novel). When Manson was unable to appear because of scheduling, the character was removed from the show.
