The school is named in one of the first episodes of the original TV series.

* AscendedFanon: The Headmaster's school was never named in the books or the old series, but was referred to in fan works as "St. Champions". This name was adopted for the Dinah's old school for the 2019 series. It is thought to be based on the name "St. Campions", the name for the school in the theatrical adaptation of the first book, where someone misheard the name and started calling the school "St. Champions".

** Season 1 makes it clear that it is set in the 90s. One episode features Dinah using a tape recorder to attempt to record the Headmaster, whereas were the episode to take place in the 2010s, she would probably use a smartphone. Another episode features a computer room with large bulky monitors.
** Season 3 suffers from this the most. A number of episodes feature the characters going to a cyber cafe to use the Internet, with computers with large monitors, and communicating through Internet chat room. Cyber cafes have become mostly obsolete as most people now have a home internet connection or access the internet on their phones through public wi-fi, computer monitors are now flat screen, and people communicate through social media and instant message apps rather than chatrooms. One episode also features a cameo by then-current Prime Minister Tony Blair.

** The final episode features the Prime Minister coming to the school and it was planned to have it be a caricature of Boris Johnson, who entered that office in 2019. This was eventually decided against on the grounds that Johnson may not have still been Prime Minister by the time the episode aired due to a General Election taking place in the UK in December 2019 a week prior to its airing (Johnson ultimately remained in office).

Thought it better to put in spoilers. Have not added the new actor playing the Headmaster as I don't know if this is a genuine case of Other Darrin. As Terrence Hardiman is due to appear in episode 10, my theory is that the two Headmasters are separate people, rather than the same person. We'll find out when the episode airs.

** In the 2019 series, adult Dinah is played by Charlotte Beckett. While the production team hoped they could cast Frances Amey, who portrayed Dinah in the old series, they discovered that she is no longer acting. For the videotape the Headmaster watches with young Dinah, she was portrayed by Jasmine de Goede.
