* AbsurdlyShortProductionTime: The show was reportedly put on incredibly tight production deadlines, with the various departments each being given ''a week and a half'' to make each 11-minute episode (three total weeks for [[ThreeShorts the half hour/22-minute show]]). Some of this insane truncation was alleviated by how it was a CGI cartoon (meaning assets could be reused, and creatives could be economical by limiting one new location and one new character per episode that could ''also'' be recycled), but this came at the cost of [[TroubledProduction a very hectic cycling of modelling, layout, animation, and lighting teams between episodes every other week]], and led to [[WritingByTheSeatOfYourPants many scripts being written on the fly]].

* SavedFromDevelopmentHell: The original storyboard was created in the 1980s. It was later revived as a 40-second test animation called ''Recap/TheAdventuresOfJohnnyQuasar'' in 1995, and later again as a short called ''Recap/RunawayRocketboy'' in 1998. The 1998 incarnation was picked up by Nick a few years later and thus [[WesternAnimation/JimmyNeutronBoyGenius the film]] was made.

* WritingByTheSeatOfYourPants: ''d.n.a. Productions'' had a mere three weeks to create every episode, which is unheard of for TV animation. They were able to save a little face by having the show be CGI, meaning assets could be recycled.

Per TRS, this was renamed, so moving it to the main page since it's not Trivia.

* CutAndPasteTranslation: The Arabic version of the show removes pretty much ''anything'' that hints at there being anything more than just plain friendship between child characters. It's done in such a crude manner that entire scenes are reduced to just a few lines of dialogues with an awkward transition to the next and some of the more ShipTease prone episodes end up downright incomprehensible.

** The Brazilian dub of the series did manage to retain most of the movie's cast, with a few exceptions being Mônica Rossi as Jimmy's mother Judy (who was replaced by Juraciara Diácovo), Paulo Flores as King Goobot (replaced by Jorge Vasconcellos)[[note]]Flores had passed away just a month after ''The Eggpire Strikes Back'', the episode where Goobot and Ooblar comes back, aired in the United States, so it most likely was due to him passing away before the episode could be dubbed to air in Brazil.[[/note]] and Hélio Ribeiro as Ooblar (replaced by Alexandre Moreno).
