* FakeAmerican: Firass Dirani, Melanie Vallejo and Angie Diaz are Australian, and Nic Sampson, Peta Rutter, Antonia Prebble and [[spoiler: Chris Graham]] are New Zelanders. Notably averted for Australian Richard Brancatisano and New Zealander John Tui, who were allowed to use thier natural accents in the show (Richard's character was specifically stated to be an Australian who moved to the States, while it's often thought that John did so to vocally distinguish Daggeron from [[Series/PowerRangersSPD Doggie]].)

** Another easy-to-spot one with Antonia Prebble (Clare), who previously played two minor characters over the prior two years: Krista, "the tree girl" and Conner's prom date in ''[[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder Dino Thunder]]'', and the Nova Ranger in the ''S.P.D.'' finale.

* TheOtherDarrin: A pity they couldn't get Creator/BarbaraGoodson to voice the Mystic Mother again. ** Like the other Disney series since the transition to New Zealand, ''Mystic Force'' was planned to have 38 episodes. Disney, who at this point were beginning to grow tired of the franchise, cut the budget to 32 instead. One of the planned episodes was confirmed to be a crossover with ''S.P.D.'' It's also been suspected that episodes focusing on Madison were part of the planned six that got cut.
** Madison and Vida were originally not going to be related, as Madison's then-last name was "Grey".
** Leelee Pimvare was meant to be cast as twins like her Sentai counterparts.
** Music/RonWasserman originally submitted two potential theme songs for the show, a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VclgxwWO474 rock theme]] and a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cV89pzyPRI rap theme]], both of which were rejected in favor of what we got.

* CharacterOutlivesActor: Peta Rutter (Udonna/White Mystic Ranger) died of a brain tumor on July 20, 2010 at the age of 50. Despite almost a decade passing since her death, Udonna has never been confirmed to be deceased.

* AuthorExistenceFailure: Udonna's actress Peta Rutter passed away from a brain tumour on July 20, 2010, at the age of 50. Much like Trini, it's unknown if this also marks the death of Udonna in-universe as well, but it means we most likely will never see her on-screen again.

* ActorAllusion: Mystic Mother, as a tribute to the late Machiko Soga. "Known as [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Rita]] in the dark days..." Soga played Bandora (MMPR's Rita Repulsa) in ''Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger'', and Magiel in ''Magiranger'', one of her final roles before her death in 2006.

* DawsonCasting: The actresses who played the Rocca sisters were both in their late twenties at the time of filming.

* RealLifeWritesThePlot: the reason that Nick was a SpotlightStealingSquad is that MagiRed had more footage than the rest of his team.

** A crossover with ''[[PowerRangersSPD S.P.D.]]'' was considered, but due to Disney trimming the episode order from 38 to 32, it was scrapped. The closest thing was a cameo from Piggy from the previous series.
