* BuryYourArt: Shortly before creating Pendulum, Rob and Gareth were a part of a NuMetal band called Xygen. They ''really'' don't like to talk about Xygen, and only a full song and half a track are publicly available. Also crosses over with CanonDiscontinuity, as "Hold Your Colour" outright ''samples'' a Xygen song.

** As a whole, Rob has also admitted to disliking Pendulum a lot during the band's main days, as he felt the songs created got very repetitive fast, and the Drum n' Bass community was quite toxic overall. These factors were ultimately why Rob and Gareth would start up Music/KnifeParty instead, although they would later return to Pendulum starting in 2021.
* CreatorBreakdown: After releasing ''Immersion'' in 2010, Rob made it adamant that he and Gareth had little interest in continuing to make music with Pendulum due to growing disillusioned with the drum-and-bass community, and because they wanted to focus on their dubstep-based ''Music/KnifeParty'' project instead. Over time, Rob has shown more interest in returning to Pendulum, which culminated in a remix EP being released in 2018, and two new singles being released in September of 2020.

** Ransom. Originally slated for release on "Immersion", it was partially previewed and became a fan favorite, but was dropped for the final release due to the band believing it didn't fit with the sound of the album and "got boring after the intro". It appeared to be lost due to the final version's project files being corrupted, but eventually reached the light of day as it was released as a charity single in April 2011 to benefit earthquake aid appeal for Japan.

* WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings: Starting in the 2010s, Rob and Gareth started focusing more on their side project, Music/KnifeParty in lieu of this band due to their dissatisfaction with fans harassing them for new material and disliking the music they made. Pendulum is now more of a DJ set and occasional live act, but the fanbase keeps asking for a fourth album. While the band says that they're working on new material, nothing surfaced for a long time minus a remix album being released in 2018. Come late 2020, however, [[ThrowTheDogABone teases of a fourth album, including three new singles, have been released]].
