added mention of the Cowboys' "double-star" uniforms

Added DiffLines:

** About two months after the film's release, the real-life Dallas Cowboys introduced a double-star alternate jersey for their Thanksgiving game and would wear it regularly for the remainder of the 1994 season[[note]]this is not the same as the throwback uniforms the Cowboys wore earlier in the season to commemorate [[UsefulNotes/NationalFootballLeague the NFL's]] [[MilestoneCelebration 75th anniversary]] season, as those were loosely based on the Cowboy uniforms from their first few years of existence[[/note]]

* CastTheExpert: Ed O'Neill really was a college football star and briefly was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers as a defensive lineman, but he ended up being cut (His competition for a roster spot was pretty stiff. Two of his rookie competitors were future Hall of Famer "Mean" Joe Greene and future 6 time Pro Bowler L.C. Greenwood).

* ActorAllusion: This movie isn't the first time that Ed O'Neil [[Series/MarriedWithChildren played a football star]]. In fact, Kevin O'Shea is pretty much what Al Bundy may have been if he achieved his football dreams -- he's an accomplished professional football player, has a beautiful wife with adoring kids, is hailed as a town hero, runs a successful car dealership, and the accomplishments he likes to boast about are actually meaningful.

** A few years after this movie, the real-life New York Giants (whom the Little Giants were named after) introduced a solid-red alternate jersey similar to the ones their pee-wee namesakes wore.

Hey Its That Guy cut by TRS decision. Ditto for Hey Its That Voice.

* HeyItsThatGuy: Besides the [[MarriedWithChildren main]] [[Film/HoneyIShrunkTheKids stars]], John Madden makes an appearance in the movie (And the announcer is Harry Shearer from TheSimpsons).

** The game-winning play at the end of the movie inspired Michigan State Spartans coach Mark Dantonio to make a similar one, faking a field goal for a touchdown in their September 18, 2010 matchup against Notre Dame, bringing them a 31-34 victory rather than a 31-31 score that would have brought the game into a second overtime. After the game, Dantonio said, "By the way, the name of that play is '[[ShoutOut Little Giants]]'." It happened again on December 18th, 2011, when the Carolina Panthers called the play and fullback Richie Brockel scored on a seven-yard run. The Panthers won 28-13.
