** Creator/HughJackman lost 30 pounds (even recreating the diet that Valjean would have had in prison), shaved his head, and grew a scraggly beard for the scenes where Valjean was a convict, even going 36 hours without water. Even more amazing is that he was exercising heavily while still not eating, on Wrsetling/DwayneJohnson's advice, because he had to shoot ''Film/TheWolverine'' almost immediately after ''Les Mis'' and had to get ready to bulk back up in record time.

** The actors famously recorded all of their singing on-set, accompanied by an off-screen pianist via an ear piece, with the orchestral accompaniment following their vocal tracks. This allowed the filmmakers to record all of the songs in real time and helped the actors, who were typically not familiar with operatic singing, to give more naturalistic readings of their sung dialogue.

Hey Its That Guy cut by TRS decision. Ditto for Hey Its That Voice.

* HeyItsThatGuy: With an AllStarCast, [[http://zhaomeng.deviantart.com/art/Les-Mis-Wolverine-349538938 this is of course inevitable]]. Lampshaded during Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway's Les Mis segment during the 2013 SAG awards.
--> '''Anne Hathaway''': [[{{Film/X-Men}} Wolverine]] is being chased by {{Film/Glad|iator}}[[RussellCrowe iato]][[IAmNotShazam r...]]
--> '''Hugh Jackman''': [[Film/TheDarkKnightRises Catwoman]] gets knocked up, and for some ungodly reason goes to see [[Creator/HelenaBonhamCarter Bellatrix Lestrange]] from ''Film/HarryPotter'' and {{Film/Bora|t}}[[Creator/SachaBaronCohen t...]]
--> '''Anne Hathaway''': And then Wolverine agrees to raise Catwoman's baby...
--> '''Hugh Jackman''': And she [[Creator/AmandaSeyfried grows up to star in]] ''Film/MammaMia''!
** Fantine was also [[Film/ThePrincessDiaries Princess Mia]], which kickstarted her popularity.
** [[Creator/AaronTveit Enjolras]] is [[Theatre/NextToNormal alive, he's alive, he is soooo alive...]]. And he was Nate's cousin, [[Series/GossipGirl Tripp van der Bilt]]. And now, ironically, he's [[Series/{{Graceland}} an undercover FBI Agent]].
** Creator/HelenaBonhamCarter pretty much plays Mme. Thénardier exactly the same as [[Film/SweeneyToddTheDemonBarberOfFleetStreet Mrs. Lovett]]. She and Creator/SachaBaronCohen basically rolled out of ''Sweeney Todd'' for this one.
** And [[Theatre/LesMiserables Jean Valjean]] has passed his silver candlesticks on to Wolverine[[note]][[DontExplainTheJoke To elaborate, it's Colm Wilkinson, the original Valjean of the Broadway and West End productions]][[/note]]
** Marius is [[TessOfTheDUrbervilles Angel Clare]].
** Apparently [[Creator/AmandaSeyfried Cosette]] can [[Film/MeanGirls predict the weather with her boobs.]]
** And is [[Series/VeronicaMars Lilly Kane]] and [[Film/{{Lovelace}} a tragic porn star]].
** Eponine is [[Theatre/LesMiserables Eponine]]. [[note]]Samantha Barks played Eponine on stage back in 2010.[[/note]]
** The woman who tells the foreman about Fantine's child is [[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows Mary Elizabeth Cattermole]], [[Recap/SherlockS01E02TheBlindBanker Seb from the bank]] attacks her, and lastly [[Recap/DoctorWhoS33E4ThePowerOfThree Kahler-Jex]] pulls her teeth.
** Gavroche is [[Film/IntoTheWoods Jack.]]
** Given the large number of musical theatre performers cameo-ing in the movie, this is inevitable.
* HeyItsThatVoice: The child singing in the part of "Turning" that was on the soundtrack but cut from the movie? That's Kerry Ingram, also known as [[Series/GameofThrones Princess Shireen Baratheon]] and [[Theatre/{{Matilda}} Matilda Wormwood]].
