* NonSingingVoice: In "Princess Karaoke", Creator/WendeeLee (voice of T.K.) provided Mimi's singing instead of her regular actress Philece Sampler. Rather ironic since Philece filled in earlier in the show for Wendee as T.K. for episodes 13-16.

* CreatorsPest: Cherrymon was this to the dub staff. In fact, the only reason Jeff Nimoy voiced him to begin with is because ''nobody else wanted to.'' He mentioned in an interview with Chris [=Mc=]Feely that he gave him a sort of Marlon Brando impression, but it was hard to maintain and he ended up having ''way'' more dialogue than anticipated, given how few episodes he was in.

* FanNickname:
** The season is often referred to in the Anglosphere fandom as ''01'', to contrast with ''[[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 02]]'', despite the "02" standing for "2002", the year ''02'' takes place.
** ''Our War Game'' is such a popular name that people might have a hard time believing it is actually a fan nickname as well. The original Japanese title of the film is ''Bokura no Wo Gemu'', which translates literally to English as ''Our War Game'', but the official translation shown on the title screen is ''Children's War Game''.

* RealLifeWritesThePlot: When the crew went to visit Odaiba in order to see a reference for the real world scenes, the place ended up covered in fog. As a result, they decided to cover Odaiba in fog, creating a major part of the Vamdemon (Myotismon) arc.
