** They're Creeping Up on You! was originally going to take place in a lush, carpeted penthouse apartment however because of the roaches this would be unworkable. So George A. Romero opted to make it more like a clean empty hospital like room.

** According to [=IMDb=], "Something to Tide You Over" originally had a different climax. [[spoiler: In the initial draft, Vickers would be visited by undead Harry and Becky, who don't kill him. Vickers calls the police and reports the undead visitors to the disbelieving responding officers, who write him off as being drunk. Vickers attempts to play them a video recording that captured the pair of them, but it has been replaced by the video footage of Richard burying and taunting Harry. He's arrested immediately. There would then be a jump cut to Richard's trial, where he's convicted and sentenced to death, and a final jump cut to Richard being executed in the gas chamber. The last scene was to have been a hysterical Richard screaming he could "hold his breath for a long time" as the gas is killing him.]]

* PlayingAgainstType: Anyone who is familiar with Creator/LeslieNielsen's later career prior to seeing this film will be in for a shock at how effortlessly he embodies the wicked character of Richard Vickers. While Vickers does have some LargeHam humor, he's still a far cry from a lot of the characters Nielsen became associated with playing.

* ThoseTwoActors: In this case, three. The film reunites Creator/HalHolbrook, Creator/AdrienneBarbeau, and Creator/TomAtkins from "The Fog." Ironically, in that film, Holbrook and Atkins shared no scenes with Barbeau. In this film, Barbeau and Holbrook are married characters, and they share no scenes with Atkins.

** For that matter, Creator/EdHarris as lovable bumpkin Hank is also a far cry from Harris' typical edgy cop/villian/authority figure roles.

* {{Blooper}}: The PeekABooCorpse of Mrs. Danvers the cook in "Father's Day" obviously blinks when the closet door is opened, which is particularly conspicuous given that it's in a close-up of her face.

* PlayingAgainstType: Those old enough to follow Creator/LeslieNielsen's work would know [[LeslieNielsenSyndrome he has done serious roles in the past]] and find no surprise that he puts on a genuinely scary performance. * AllThereInTheManual: The original short story of "The Crate" points out that "Fluffy" wasn't found in the ''north'' arctic, but rather what would come to be known as the Antarctic region (as the term "Antarctica" didn't exist in 1834, when the crate was shipped to Horlicks). So the monster in the crate was somehow captured almost 100 years before the [[Literature/AtTheMountainsOfMadness 1930 Miskatonic University Expedition]], one presumes.
