Added DiffLines:

* CaliforniaDoubling: While the New York scenes were shot on film, almost everywhere else was shot in Los Angeles. The baseball scenes, which take place in New Jersey, were filmed in a business district in San Fernando.
* HostilityOnTheSet: Director Walter Hill and Richard Pryor both clashed on set often, especially when Pryor would be deep into drugs on some shooting days. Thankfully they did patch things up by the end of shooting and became good friends after.

Added DiffLines:

** According to Hill, this was why Richard Pryor signed on too.

!!1985 film
* MoneyDearBoy: Director Creator/WalterHill, who barely worked on any comedies other than this one, admitted that he mostly did this "to improve his bank account".
* OneSceneWonder: The legendary Creator/HumeCronyn as Rupert Horn, Brewster's previously-unknown great uncle, makes quite the impression in his less than five minutes of screen time.
* PlayingAgainstType: Directed by Creator/WalterHill, whose filmography largely consists of gritty, violent action-thrillers.
