Carmen, not to be confused with the opera, is a musical inspired by on Merimee's novella and adapted by Frank Wildhorn with a book by Norman Allen and lyrics by Jack Murphy. It is set in modern times and features a circus. An English demo was recorded in 2007, but it was translated to Czech and first put on in Prague at the Karlín Theater in 2008, becoming very successful. It has also been put on Austria, Japan, Lithuania, South Korea, and Hungary.
