The president of NCR Aaron Kimball has [[GloryHound General Lee Oliver]]. The player could also become a dragon to either Mr. House, Caesar, or NCR command. Not only is she often considered a more difficult fight in-game, canonically she was holding back so as not to overshadow Kaguya.

However, his "puzzles" are the easiest in the game, and his battle before King is a mind-controlled K. Round you can defeat even easier than before. During the HeelFaceTurn, the closest equivalent to a right-hand (wo)man is Tasque Manager, who's more LoyalToThePosition than her boss, as she's also the final challenge before Spamton NEO in the Weird Route.
** In this Normal Route, Kris can become this to Spamton if they accept his sidequest about finding an empty disk in Queen Mansion's basement.

** Technically Goro and Shang Tsung serve as CoDragons to Shao Kahn during the [[VideoGame/MortalKombat1 first game]].

** In the Weird Route, Noelle becomes Kris' Dragon, giving her the orders to use her [[AnIcePerson ice powers]] to freeze enemies and effectively killing them instead of making them flee.

** In ''CrashBandicoot4ItsAboutTime'', N. Tropy becomes the BigBad and if he officially partners up with Cortex, he actually treats him more like his assistant at best. The reason is that while he's competent like N. Brio and N. Gin (who come back as Cortex's CoDragons), unlike them, N. Tropy has a pride.

* Dr. N. Gin, from the ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot'' series serves as one in ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot2CortexStrikesBack'' and, arguably, ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot3Warped''. In both games, you have to fight him when he's in a giant robot suit and you require projectiles to hurt him. In addition, he also has a lot more health than any other boss you fight in either of those games.
** Also, in both games he's the last boss you fight before Dr. Cortex himself.
** In [[VideoGame/CrashBandicoot1996 the first game]], it's N. Brio who's TheDragon, who's got more health, and is also smarter than Cortex too. He just doesn't have enough of a spine to become the big bad, and then has a HeelFaceTurn in the sequel.
** Technically, Dr. Cortex has always been the TheDragon to Uka Uka, although this isn't revealed until the third game.
** Taking Cortex's role as The Dragon in ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot2NTranced'' is [[TimeMaster Dr. Nefarious Tropy]], who hatches a plan to hypnotize the Bandicoots by means of his friend N. Trance, who acts as Tropy's Dragon.

Cynder and Gaul are Malefor's [[TheDragon Dragons]] (Cynder being a real dragon), despite being BigBad in their first games, they're directly stated to be Malefor's minions. Gaul has the Assassin as his Dragon and it was possible by some of the pictures show that Cynder was actually Gaul's [[TheDragon Dragon]].
* ''VideoGame/StarControl 3'' has the K'Tang, a race of tiny creatures walking around in HumongousMecha suits and terrorizing everyone else. They like to claim that they are the leaders of the Crux Hegemony, but in fact they are simply TheDragon to the cunning but weak Ploxis. The Ploxis go to great lengths to hide their own status as the BigBad. In addition, the "Eternal Ones" have their own powerful race of "Heralds", who would've been another Dragon if not for the fact that the Eternal Ones are [[SufficientlyAdvancedAlien infinitely strong]] to begin with.
* In ''VideoGame/StarCraftII'':

** In ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'', who TheDragon is in Organization XIII (or if there even is one) has had some mild debate, even on this wiki. The general consensus seems to be between [[EyepatchOfPower Xigbar]], who actually is Number II, has a bit of a backstory, [[ThatOneBoss and arguably has the most battle prowess]], and [[GoodScarsEvilScars Saix]], who acts in a position of authority, gets more screentime, and is actually the boss fight before the final boss. If one were to nitpick, Saix as number VII is in the middle of XIII, and half of XIV. ''358/2 Days'' points even further towards Saix, as he's the one who actually assigns missions to the other members (As well as the only one besides [[BigBad Xemnas]] who never accompanies Roxas to missions), however Xigbar is the only member besides Xemnas, that knows what Organization’s true goal was.

** ''VideoGame/EtrianOdysseyI'': [[spoiler:Ren and Tlatchtga]] serve as dragons for [[spoiler:Visil]] in the story. It turns out they, like their boss, knew all along about the true secret of Yggdrasil, and were entrusted the job to prevent any explorer from learning about it.

There he has a true DuelBoss fight with Ike by creating a magical barrier that separates the two of them from their respective forces.
