They end up resorting to [[DirtyCoward cheap tactics]] to have Ange find them shelter. Ange's reaction to it? She leaves them to fend for themselves with Sylvia as their leader]].

* In ''Manga/SoulEater'', [[spoiler:Chrona stabs [[AmbiguousGender their]] mother, Medusa to death after all the nightmare-inducing experiments she ran on them.]] [[PlayingWithATrope Although that's a bit misleading.]] [[spoiler: They don't kill her because of how horrible she is, they did it because Medusa was suddenly acting like a real mother, such as cooking their favorite meal for them and apologizing for all the things she did, even ''hugging'' them. But Chrona is so insane from the experiments and so shocked by this that they assume that this is an impostor.]] And in the end? [[spoiler:The last thing Medusa says in the chapter confirms that ''[[ThanatosGambit this was all part of her plan.]]'']]

* In ''Manga/ElfenLied'', some bullies attempt to [[KickTheDog force ANY reaction]] out of [[TheQuietOne Lucy/Kaede]] by [[KidsAreCruel beating an actual dog, a little puppy, she was taking care of]]. [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals When the dog dies]], [[RoaringRampageofRevenge Lucy]] [[UnstoppableRage outright annihilates every single person in the room]].

** Minerva has become the AlphaBitch as a result of Ziemma's abuse and gets on Fairy Tail's bad side. She kidnaps Happy, [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown beats Lucy to the point of almost killing her]], and then she stabbed Kagura after it's revealed that Erza sacrificed herself to save her from being enslaved. Then, she reveals she tortured Milliana while she waited for Erza and Kagura to finish their fight. This caused Erza to undergo a RoaringRampageOfRevenge on Minerva, [[OneHitKill defeating]] her with Nakagami Starlight.
