* While it's less dramatic than other examples, demon Vald's position at the end of "The Black and White Labyrinth" has got to sting. He all but declares his love for Havi, spends most of the extra doing what Havi has liked so much about him in the past (being sexually forward and demanding), then overhears Havi admitting that if he had to pick between the two sides of Vald, he'd pick the prince. Ouch. Demon Vald apparently hasn't forgotten about it, either. [[spoiler:During Vald's captivity near the end of the manga, Astador is able to reduce him to tears in only a few minutes by playing into his fear that Havi doesn't really want him, presenting him with a vision of Havi calling him a parasite and trying to purify him with fire like any other demon.]]

Added DiffLines:

* Havi eavesdropping on the Serasudel Council of Elders after Vald attacks Halceles. After thinking Vald's died and almost going nuclear before Halrein can tell him better, he has to spend that very night listening to the same authorities who threw him out when he was only a kid debating the fate of the man he's just realized he loves.
* Halceles' reaction to seeing what he thinks is the ghost of King Fleivangr during Vald's rampage in Serasudel, as well as [[NotSoStoic his outburst]] when he meets Rimris again. Despite it having been over a century since Fleivangr's death, it's clear that Halceles [[ILetGwenStacyDie still carries immense grief over his failure to save his king.]]
-->'''Halceles:''' Prince Valdrigr needs to be saved.
-->'''Rimris:''' I...I do not want to hear that name.
-->'''Halceles:''' ''[[SuddenlyShouting Open your eyes!]]'' You will not be allowed to escape so easily, Rimris! When the king was turned into a beast because of your curse, it was I who had to put an end to it. With these hands, I ended the king's life! I did not even ''think'' about trying to escape from this sin.
