Sure, the X-Men were able to find some ways to solve that (feeding on Wolverine's blood, for one) but those were temporary solutions, at best. Michiru was not able to completely cure her of vampirism, but was able to change it [[DaywalkingVampire so it wasn't a soul-crushing curse]].
