* In Benzaie's [=VLog=], Doug's speech thanking everyone for getting through the shoot and convincing him not to cancel it. Heartwarming because he cares so much for them (and vice versa), TearJerker because hearing Doug Keet Walker struggling not to cry is unsettling.
* The DVD making-of featurette shows the whole meeting between Doug, Rob, and Mike Michaud as they realize the film will very likely not be completed, and they should just do a Film/LostInLaMancha style documentary about their attempts to make it. Even knowing everything turned out fine, it's very hard to watch as they decide to scrap their labor of love.
** Doug revealing that he got so miserable by the middle of the shoot that he spent a day in bed making calls - not even eating, showering or brushing his teeth - was pretty woobie-ish too.
*** And when he's recalling this (still sounding actually kinda upset), you see a sad little lump in the middle of his bed. Poor boy.
** During his voiceover, Doug calling his super skinny legs "bulbous".
** The two DVD Commentaries from Doug and Rob will make you want to hug them both. In Doug's, the first twenty minutes is him positive he's ruined everything and that anyone who does crossovers with him just wants to be polite, while Rob goes into more detail of Doug's nervous breakdown (he wasn't even going to show up to the Holly-enforced meeting because he was so scared) while admitting that for his part, he had an urge once to go into the forest and never come back because nobody would miss him.
** Regarding Doug being too scared to go to the meeting, there's a HarsherInHindsight element to that. While the producers haven't exactly mutinied like he was afraid they would, he turned out to be right when he thought he was putting them through a shit time and at the very least they were frustrated with how little he could handle anything (which you can see in the behind the scenes feature).
*** Rob's pride in Doug realizing he just can't do everything alone becomes much harsher after "The Review Must Go On", where Doug decides it's right for him to be alone because nobody can keep up with him.
** Even knowing that everything ended up working may make it even worse. Seeing just how close the special came to being scrapped makes everything really depressing in hindsight and can make it kind of hard to watch.

* Malachite is still alive. Bargo left the site in February and unless they're doing a Suede-type thing, will never come back. It just makes Ma-Ti's sacrifice and Critic's broken denial over it so very pointless.

* .
** Critic's small, whimpery "no" [[spoiler:when Ma-Ti... leaves]]. Even more heartbreaking 'cos you expect an hilarious, melodramatic BigNo to break up the sad.
** Also when he comes back into his house at the end and sees sitting on the counter. The look on his face just breaks your heart.
** Even moreso during [[spoiler:the ending montage where 'everyone was reviewing like usual', cut to Spoony trying to review VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII... and stops just to scream "MA-TIIIIII!!!!" with the most heart-wrenching face he could muster.]]
** Critic sitting by , his glasses off, his tie gone and looking completely and crushed.

*** Seconded. If you sympathized with the Critic at the end of WebVideo/Kickassia, he was at least still wearing his glasses (albeit broken) and snarking, and you could take comfort in the knowledge that he wasn't fully broken. Here, he's completely vulnerable.

** At the , Sage has tears in his eyes. Sage--the only person who can scare Ask That Guy--is crying. Sage even said in the commentary that he got into a bad place so he could make the tears real.

*** The written on the coffee cup. It was probably just done to make the scene more clear, but it's still sad in a touching kind of way that .

** "Linkara... do you ever think ?" God...he sounds so hopeful, almost like a little kid (and coming from such a broken, cynical guy, that's really saying something).
** In part five, sadly leaving for the Critic's coffee (which will come back to bite the Critic later). The depressing music and the way he just opens the door with his head don't help.

* We get more JerkassWoobie-dom from the Critic in the search for the Necronomicon. While he needs a slap for how he treats Chester, it's made incredibly clear that there's no way he's moving on from .
