* Once Baade, the Earth Dragon, is slain at Earth Valley, Donovitch is at first horrified and then utterly depressed. Despite Jack insisting he not go back to Earth Valley where he'll either be enslaved or killed, the dwarf only sadly tells Jack that human greed is too much for them and that he will die in Earth Valley just as he was born there. With a last comment on how the mines will dry up and it'll simply be a valley of death, he leaves to his fate and parts with a saddened Jack.

* As much of a {{Jerkass}} as he is, it's difficult to feel sorry for Lord Jasne, but by the end of the game, all of his efforts will have ended in failure. First, his attempts to establish peaceful relations with the non-humans amounts to nothing when Cross slaughters all the dwarves and instigates the war. Second, and one that IS a bit more of a tearjerker, despite his attempts to keep Ridley safe, she leaves to join the non-humans in their war against humans, meaning he is no longer able to keep her safe from then on. In the end, either Ridley potentially wipes out all humans, him included (Non-Human path), or Ridley is killed by Aphelion, who had been disguised as Lucian, a man he trusted (Human path). No matter what, the guy does NOT get a good ending at all.

* Jack gets accepted into Theater Vancoor after his brigade's dismissal but Ganz does not. When they discuss this, despite Ganz trying to show enthusiasm and pride in Jack for his success, Jack is clearly heartbroken that they can't stay together. This isn't SO bad in the Non-Human route as Ganz will join up in the late stages of the game, but this is pretty heartbreaking in the Human route as this is the last Jack will see of him.
