** Adding to this is how almost feral he acts in the cutscenes. While he was never the [[DumbMuscle brightest Pirate]] he never seemed to degrade into this level of animalistic fury. Further showing just how vile [[EvilerThanThou Raven Beak]] truly is even compared to The Pirates.

* After years since the deaths of Old Bird and Gray Voice, and the loss and later destruction of her adopted home of Zebes, Samus finally gets to meet another living Chozo (or at least one not attempting to kill her or exploit her Metroid DNA) in Quiet Robe, only for Raven Beak to kill them right in front of her with one of his robotic Chozo soldiers after [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness Quiet Robe had ceased being useful to his plans]].

After destroying the robot, she can only silently stare at Quiet Robe’s corpse in a brief moment of grief before resuming on her quest. The fact this was one of the last known remaining Chozo in the galaxy killed in front of her is no doubt a stab to Samus’s heart.

** Just the fact that Raven Beak is directly responsible for the death of his race. Whether it's ordering the extermination of the Thoha, purging his own Mawkin soldiers, or exposing them to the X parasite, it all rests at Raven Beak's feet. Whatever happened to the Chozo, some of them survived, until Raven Beak killed them. ''And he doesn't care.''

* The one of the Chozo Archives images features Raven Beak overseeing [[FedToTheBeast Chozo prisoners being fed to Drogyga]]. Since Raven Beak wiped out the Thoha tribe on [=SR388=] and these prisoners have raptor-like heads, they were likely Mawkin Chozo. This implies that there were Mawkin members who didn't agree with Raven Beak's plans and/or disobeyed his orders... And Raven Beak had them all [[ShamefulStrip stripped down to the loin]] before being ceremoniously executed to serve as [[MakeAnExampleOfThem a warning to the rest of the tribe]]. The fact that there were once [[TokenHeroicOrc good Mawkin Chozo]] to begin with reminds players that even the Mawkin were victims of Raven Beak's megalomania.

* Samus' massive case of ScreamingWarrior as she gives into her Metroid instincts to kill Raven Beak can be interpreted many ways, but with the fact that this would've essentially either been a threat to galactic civilization or gotten her killed with the planet, and that she seemingly just stops ''caring'' about what happens to her just so Raven Beak dies, the strongest interpretation the fans go with is anything but pleasant. This is Samus after the ''Prime'' series, after ''Super'' and ''Fusion'', and after meeting the last of the Chozo and seeing them die before her eyes before having to kill their X-infested corpses, and one of her genetic donors going the evil way of Mother Brain, is it any wonder that being put to the brink of death to unravel everything she fought for just finally had her '''''snap''''' after what she's been through and lost?
** Right before she becomes a Metroid, she remembers [[FinalSolution how the Thoha tribe was slaughtered]] and how Quiet Robe was brutally murdered before her eyes as Raven Beak monologues of how no one will stand in his way to conquer the galaxy, not even her. It's as if she's channeling these painful memories to regain that vengeful anger she had towards Ridley and Mother Brain and redirect it towards Raven Beak.
*** Another interpretation is that Samus is screaming because she's a metroid. Metroids screech as they attack and feed.

* The absolutely weary tone in Quiet Robe's voice as he divulges Raven Beak’s plot to Samus as well as the Thoha Tribe's role in creating the very Metroids that have directly and indirectly caused so much trouble throughout the series. It’s easy to tell that the scientist [[ItsAllMyFault feels responsible for all the death and destruction that has occurred as a result of their creations]].

* The way Samus reacts to the X being released from Elun is oddly melancholy. She doesn't panic, she doesn't get angry, she just... slows her pace and watches. As if she knew this was inevitable, and there was nothing she could do to stop it now. She seems so ''tired''.

* Kraid's situation as a caged beast on ZDR is oddly pitiful and even tragic, especially when you unlock the Chozo Archives picture depicting the Mawkin soldiers prodding him with spears as they chain him up with the massive restraints holding him above the molten pit. Combined with hearing his roars of anguish before entering the boss room and his diseased, scarred appearance, this may be the first time you would ever feel sorry for a Space Pirate boss, especially since Kraid, unlike Ridley and Mother Brain, was never known to [[MoralEventHorizon commit horrible war crimes]] in his pirate career.
