* A meta-example from the HD remake. The movie features {{Role Reprisal}}s from Tate Donovan and James Woods from ''{{Disney/Hercules}}'', and Jonathan Freeman and Creator/GilbertGottfried from ''{{Disney/Aladdin}}''--which is nothing unexpected, as they almost never fail to reprise their roles, but this time around all four of them sound too old and tired to really pull of their characters anymore. It's a painful reminder that TheRenaissanceAgeOfAnimation was nearly a generation ago, and that nothing lasts forever.

* Seeing Maleficent destroy the data version of the Kingdom Key. The iconic weapon of the series that has been around with Sora since the beginning... gone. Sure, it was a data duplicate, but that doesn't make it any less sad.

** Hell, if you played ''Days'', you can get a real glimpse of [[spoiler:Data-Roxas's motivations in Oblivion Castle]]. The reason why [[spoiler:he]] goes crazy on Sora accepting his pain is because [[spoiler:of Xion - for not only he "forgot" about her in ''Days'' and suffers horribly from it, but he's fully aware that he's even not the REAL Roxas and, thus, he never actually knew her]]. [[spoiler:Data-Roxas isn't even allowed to RELATE to Sora]].

* Data-Namine's existence. She acknowledges that she only exists to pass along a message, and once that's done she fades away into nothing. This line from her says it all: "The real me is gone. She doesn't exist now."

** In the HD movie version, [[spoiler: Creator/JesseMccartney]] does a ''fantastic'' job of playing [[spoiler: Data-Roxas]] as completely ruthless and bitter. Considering what the character's been through, it's hard to blame them.
