* Kevin gets hit ''hard'' with this at the end. Yes, he and Gretel made amends. But after getting kidnapped and having to help stop Professor Exclamation, Destructress, and [=FistPuncher=], he was forced to miss his long-waited date with Hiromi and arrived back at the restaurant just as she was leaving. Even though she reciprocates his feelings, Hiromi gently, but sadly, tells him that any possibility of a romantic relationship is never going to work out because of his "hectic schedule". To make the day even worse, the aliens [[KickTheDog flat-out tell Kevin that he was never meant to be given superpowers in the first place]]. Even in the season finale, the poor guy can't catch a break for more than a few seconds.

* Gretel's Meteor Punch managed to prevent most of the meteor from causing damage to a Totally Tools buidling... however, a chunk broke off and instead destroyed the titular Oakey, a large tree cherished by Gretel and Bailey. Gretel was utterly heartbroken at this devastating mishap, and, if it weren't for her and Hamster using their superpowers (and glue) to repair the tree, she would've learned the hard way that her actions have consequences.

** During this time, Gretel can be seen giving a horrified and saddened look towards her beloved big brother. In a way, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone she felt like this was '''her''' fault that Kevin is having such a crappy day]]. For starters, it's possible that his chances of becoming an OfficialCouple with Hiromi are gone for good after using the same excuse he used back in the first episode, which is helping Gretel. Then, he was basically told that, unlike his sister, he's not special enough to be granted his own powers.

* It's a brief one, but Gretel and Kevin's fight can be seen as this. [[AC:U.F. UH-OH!]]
* We already knew from the start that Kevin felt particularly screwed over when the aliens passed over him when giving Hamster and Gretel superpowers, but this desire of wanting superpowers from those aliens as well is rarely acknowledged prior to this episode, and the way it's presented here would make you pity Kevin some more:
** Kevin and Gretel decide to watch a musical based on her and Hamster, ''Champster & Gretta'', which tends to have some details hilariously inaccurate. Unfortunately for Kevin, one of those inaccuracies is Gretta ''not having (or needing) a brother''. Cue a music number about Gretta being an only child, which does nothing but serve as a kick in the gut for Kevin, making him feel like a nobody who makes no impact on the world despite always being there to help Hamster and Gretel out. Making it worse is that there was a set-up for Gretta having a brother before the song, only for Gretta to reveal that she sees Champster as "the brother she never had", [[YankTheDogsChain as if they were purposefully trying to disappoint Kevin]].

[[AC:My Invisible Friend]]
* This and the following episode particularly has Gretel's secret superhero side test her friendship with Bailey, as she suddenly has to leave to fight the Rat Burglar, only to be dumped in InvisibilityInk right when she promised Bailey to show up at the spelling bee finals. Since the ink lasted until the spelling bee is over, Gretel obviously failed to (officially) show up, and since she's prohibited from revealing her superhero side, she can't explain herself to Bailey either.
** This leads to the ending of the episode, in which a rightfully upset Bailey demands an explanation while Gretel is struggling what to say, up until some stage scaffolding is about to drop on Bailey, causing Gretel to [[TheReveal instinctively transform and save Bailey]].

* The current predicament between Gretel and Bailey is quite saddening for either girl. You get why Bailey is upset because she just found out her best friend had been hiding this big secret from her this whole time, as well as the fact that Gretel has frequently left Bailey and was unable to show up at the spelling bee finals from the previous episode "My Invisible Friend"; Bailey feels like the trust between the the two besties has been tampered (as evidenced that Gretel ''still'' tried to pass off TheReveal as a dream). At the same time, you feel sorry for Gretel, who wanted to tell Bailey so much about her secret superhero self, but was told by Kevin to keep it a secret in order to protect Bailey.

* Gretel's Meteor Punch managed to prevent most of the meteor from causing damage to a Totally Tools buidling... however, a chunk broke off and instead destroyed the titular Oakey, a large tree cherished by Gretel and Bailey. Gretel was utterly heartbroken at this devastating mishap, and, if it weren't for her and Hamster using their superpowers to repair the tree, she would've learned the hard way that her actions have consequences.

[[AC:The Nightmarionette]]
* As silly of a fear for toaster-headed scorpions sounds, you'd have to feel sorry for Gretel being constantly terrified (by an adult, no less) throughout the episode. Even as she overcomes her fear using immersion therapy, the Nightmarionette tackles this by reaching deeper into her conscious and using her fear for blender-headed lobsters against her. The pressure is so much for Gretel that she ends up ''[[BrokenTears crying in fear]]'', which reminds the viewers that she's still a child.

[[AC:For Whom the Belle Trolls]]
* Throughout the entire episode, Hamster and Gretel are being bullied by an AttentionWhore who spreads lies and misinformation for no other reason than pure clout. They, Kevin, Fred and Bailey desperately try everything in their power to disprove these claims to no avail. Somehow, Belle was able to sway the whole city, making viewers feel sad for Hamster and Gretel's predicament, while simultaneously feel utter hatred for this bitch.
* Belle has already proven herself to be a HateSink BitchInSheepsClothing at this point in the episode, but when she gives Hamster and Gretel no chance to rebut any of her lies during the talk show, shows footage of haters spewing vitriol towards Hamster and Gretel, and uses her single piece of unedited footage of Gretel refusing arrest as her trump card, it becomes too much for Hamster and Gretel, so they just... [[DespairEventHorizon give up and accept defeat]], slowly walking outside to get themselves arrested for crimes they didn't commit by the awaiting police force. You can tell by her voice how dejected and tired she sounds.
