* [[Anime/RanmaOneHalf Ranma's]] unwanted reunion with Akane is one big tearjerker moment from start to finish. Akane attacks Ranma, and it's implied that he won by simply dodging or blocking her attacks until she wore herself out. The next scene shows them sitting at a table and talking things out, with both coming to terms with the fact that they are [[BothSidesHaveAPoint equally to blame]] for the failure of their relationship. After Ranma leaves, Akane pretends to be unaffected--even happy--but then she begins to cry as she walks away, finally realizing that she did love Ranma after all but now they can never be a couple. Ranma, who watches her go, just hangs his head in sadness and berates himself for his own contributions to their break-up.
* The last chapter has several moments of this:
** Mutsumi finally gets some sense about the incredibly idiotic way she acted during the fic... and then [[AllForNothing she finds herself with nothing]], having sacrificed her happiness, her love, her academic future and her relationships in the name of preserving a doomed relationship between two mismatched people who weren't destined to be in the first place. The guilt and shame of realizing that she was caught by the SunkCostFallacy hit her hard. She ends completely depressed, feeling profoundly ashamed of her foolishness, expelled from Todai and having to return to Okinawa. She leaves without even attempting to say sorry or ask for forgiveness to the people she hurt because she knows pretty well they won't even listen to her and for good reasons.
** Yeah, Kagura was [[LaserGuidedKarma punished by her villainy]], but it was because the sister of the boy she murdered took her with her in a MurderSuicide.
** It's implied that Sarah eventually broke when she realized that not only will the Hinata girls not come to rescue her (and that she was never in their protective radar in the first place), but that Seta took the words she told him while in a fit of anger to heart and will not attempt to contact her ever again.
** And a bit of tears of happiness for Keitaro, [[EarnYourHappyEnding as he finally earned his happy ending]].

She ends completely depressed, feeling profoundly ashamed of her foolishness, expulsed of Todai and having to return to Okinawa. She leaves without even attempting to say sorry or ask for forgiveness to the people she hurt because she knows pretty well they won't even listen to her and for good reasons.
