* The male Avatar's ''Conquest'' supports with Azura show that he's ''much'' more depressed than he lets on; he keeps having nightmares about the Hoshidans who have been killed as a result of his choice, and he's experiencing a crisis of morality over how far the ends justify the means. He's so torn over it, he ''legitimately wonders'' whether it would be better to let ''the Hoshidan assassins who have been coming after him'' kill him as "justice", and seems to genuinely believe that he's damned to hell. The supports take a turn for the [[CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming heartwarming]] later on, but ''damn.''

* The male Avatar in his Supports with Azura on the Conquest path mentioning his nightmares about killing Hoshidans and having to constantly deal with Hoshidan ninjas trying to assassinate him.

* Pieri and Lazward's A-support has her telling him that [[spoiler:her mom was murdered right in front of her by a {{Yandere}} servant. She [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness starts crying]] as she describes how she started blaming all servants for her death, how she could only escape the memories by throwing herself into battle, and how much she misses her mom's cooking.]] Quickly followed by heartwarming when Lazward pulls her into a comforting hug.

* Xander and Takumi both have certain lines toward a Female Avatar [[spoiler:if they've reached S-Support]] that become downright painful, since both of them describe exactly [[spoiler:happens to them in the Birthright and Conquest paths, respectively. Worse yet, ''both of them die thanking you'']].

** When Marx's defeated in battle, he falls off his horse but still hold his weapon firmly in his hand (unlike other characters who have their weapons knocked flying),[[spoiler: the moment he realized he accidentally hit Elise, he immediately threw both his sword and his shield away and rushed to her side, cradling her in his arms,]]

** [[spoiler:The fact that you can kill any or all the Awakening children period (especially after having recruited them, fought alongside them, bonded with them, etc.) can feel very, ''very'' horrible, moreso given the crap they've already been through in their own worlds.]]

** [[spoiler:Adding more to Lazward is that he apparently chooses to stay in Nohr during the Birthright campaign; what makes this worse is that he doesn't have Soleil at the time and he can very well still choose to leave to go back to his own world, but he ''doesn't''. [[UndyingLoyalty He sticks with Xander to the bitter end along with the other Nohrians he's come to know]]. This also applies to Odin and Luna with their respective lords in that they appear to show a similar amount of loyalty to a degree, and should their lord be taken down for good they ''will'' also continue fighting until they too are dead; not defeated, ''dead''. This must be part of that "different sides of characters depending on the route you choose" and "every decision counts", and it is done in a very heartbreaking manner here.]]

* Despite how massive of a jerk Garon had to have been, there's something pitifully sad about his role in the story.[[spoiler: Shortly after having his last child Elise, he launched war against Hoshido in an attempt to unify Nohr and bring in better resources for his people, if not outright relocate them to a better location due to the horrid weather Nohr has. It was also implied that he partially did this because one of his children (Azura) was taken from him by Hoshido. Too bad for him that he's offed by an unknown assailant very unexpectedly and replaced by a slime construct of Anankos to where virtually ''no one'' ever noticed, having his own kingdom and children snatched from him. And unlike the similarly killed Sumeragi, Mikoto, and his living wife Shinmei, ''he stays dead''. ''Damn''.]]

** Takumi suffers from a similar fate.[[spoiler: After apparently having been brainwashed enough to fight the Avatar and his group, upon finally being defeated for the last time he laments how he never had a chance to really accept the Avatar as his family before he bites it.]]

** Takuim suffers from a similar fate.[[spoiler: After apparently having been brainwashed enough to fight the Avatar and his group, upon finally being defeated for the last time he laments how he never had a chance to really accept the Avatar as his family before he bites it.]]

* [[spoiler: The three future kids in general [[YourUniverseOrMine having to choose between returning to their world and staying in a place they've grown used to, with the people they've grown close to]]. Especially if any of them get married and have a child with a Nohrian (Conquest) or a Hoshidan (third route). That can't be an easy choice to make.

** Laswald and Soleil's support doesn't pull any punches either. [[spoiler:Right when Laswald is about to tell Soleil the truth about where he's from, Soleil, sensing that the atmosphere is getting intense, changes the subject and says she'll always be his daughter, even if the day comes where they have to part ways.]]
* Laswald is [[spoiler:the only Awakening child that is guaranteed to die in the Birthright path. When he dies, he notes that he won't be able to see his mother again]].
* [[spoiler: The three future kids in general [[YourUniverseOrMine having to choose between returning to their world and staying in a place they've grown used to, with the people they've grown close to]]. Especially if any of them get married and have a child with a Nohrian (Conquest) or a Hoshidan (third route). That can't be an easy choice to make.]]
* Mozume and Jakob's supports start with Mozume crying over her DoomedHometown. Jakob urges her to get all of her crying done now because eventually she'll run out of tears. Their B-Support has Jakob reveal that [[spoiler:he was essentially abandoned by his parents, and he doesn't have any happy memories of them or his hometown]].

Eventually, she left her home country and fell in love with King Sumeragi, becoming a loving step-mother to his children while he loved the Avatar as his own. Then he was killed and the Avatar was taken away for many years. Shortly after being reunited, she's killed protecting them, with her last words expressing relief that they're okay.]]

They've been in Nohr for who knows how long, and can potentially fall in love and procreate with someone from this new world. Now, all three point out that they will have to chose whether or not to stay in this world or go back to their old world.
