* The Peacefulness of 2016 Craft Essence from a meta standpoint, [[spoiler: its artwork is showing Dr. Roman having a relaxing time celebrating the new year of 2016. And in the story, the battle at Solomon's Temple happened in December 31, 2016, where he died meaning 2016 is the last new year he enjoyed.]]

** From the AllThereInTheManual story detailing the Camelot hijacking of the sixth singularity, the reason why not all Knights of the Round are with the Lion King is because the Lion King ordered loyalists to kill dissenters, their former comrades-in-arms. After the deed was done, the remaining knights were traumatized by what they had done, several of them use the Grail's blessing to deal with their consciences for sake of being loyal to a king they had betrayed one way or another. Tristan had to have a complete personality change because he empathized too much with his dead friends and Gawain became even more blindly loyal than he already was. When the Knights were facing the Crusaders led by the impostor Richard I, Gareth held him down so the other knights could finish Richard off. Her brother Gawain was the one who led the final blow. The narration implies Gareth had SuicideByCop because she couldn't stand the pain of terrible crimes she had done, but she couldn't betray her idol Lancelot.

* Babylonia. This singularity had a huge body count, each preceded by tearful scenes. Spoilers abound:
** Ushiwakamaru's final stand against [[spoiler: Gorgon]] to buy you time to retreat. [[{{DyingMomentOfAwesome}} Using her Noble Phantasm]], she avoided all of [[spoiler: Gorgon]]'s attack while closing in before attempting to deal a fatal blow. [[spoiler: Gorgon]], however, NoSell the attack and proceeds to wreck Ushiwakamaru apart. [[spoiler: To make matters worse, it turns out Ushiwakamaru is just captured. After that, she was corrupted in Tiamat's mud, which made her and many clones of her fight you later on.]]
** Leonidas threw himself into [[spoiler: Gorgon]]'s Noble Phantasm to protect your party, delivering his final words while [[spoiler: slowly turning into stone]] only to crumble shortly after. In both of Ushi and Leonidas' sacrifice, Mashu can be seen in holding back her tears.
** Seeing Enkidu's body [[spoiler: actually Kingu]] bloody and crying was one of the last things this Troper ever wanted to see. The fact that Kingu has been betrayed by his own mother and the Lahmu, and left in this state, doesn't help to lessen the pain.

Ushiwakamaru even gained a semblance of her previous self, and Benkei finally left with a smile.]] Considering that he might not even be the real Benkei, this act truly estabilished his place in her closest circle.

[[spoiler:It's implied to be Siduri, Gilgamesh's kind advisor seen throughout the chapter. She talks about how raising hands means "surrender", so here she is, as a Lahmu only raising its hands. Ishtar and the protagonist realize this, but they don't say anything lest the team's morale shatter.]]
** Having gained an admiration for Gilgamesh that deviates from his original purpose, Kingu [[spoiler: (in Enkidu's body) turned himself into a set of massive chains binding Tiamat in order to buy us and Gilgamesh some time to recuperate after Tiamat's mud breached the city walls. This is the same kind of chains that are able to bind the likes of Heracles, yet it broke shortly after.]]
** Pretty much everything involving Gilgamesh and Kingu is an enormous tearjerker. [[spoiler: Kingu cannot fight Gilgamesh because Enkidu's body will not allow him to fight his friend, Kingu always calls Gilgamesh by his full name until the very end where he calls him 'Gil' (which is what Enkidu always called him), Gilgamesh refusing to leave Kingu to bleed out and die because he doesn't want to see Enkidu's body fade away again, Kingu telling Gilgamesh that Enkidu's body still holds so many memories that Enkidu wanted to share with him, Gilgamesh saying that he had to say goodbye to his friend twice now after Kingu sacrifices himself.]] This chapter is full of pain.
** And finally, [[spoiler: Gilgamesh pushed you out of Tiamat's attack, gravely wounding himself even though he can still stand. He eventually died after attempting to buy you some time to enter the Netherworld in order to pursue Tiamat. His return as an Archer Heroic Spirit a few stages later is a moment of awesome, where Gilgamesh finally gets serious and use everything he has in order to defend whatever is left of Babylon.]]

* While it's humorous in the main, the Fourth Day of the Christmas 2016 event has a gut-crushingly ''sad'' monologue from [[spoiler:Jeanne Alter]], after [[spoiler:Jeanne Alter Santa Lily screws up yet another gift delivery, knows off the bat it's bad, is ashamed, and runs off in tears.]]

** After the leyshift is sabotaged, Ritsuka rushes in to try and help, only to find Mashu with her lower half being crushed by an impossibly large piece of rubble. Unable to do anything, and now locked in the ruined facility, the two are resigned to die together. Thankfully, they end up leyshifting anyway and Mashu fused with a Heroic Spirit [[spoiler: who was none other than Galahad.]]

Tristan became sadistic because he empathizes too much, Gawain became even more blindly loyal than he already has, Mordred accepted not being allowed to step in her father's city just to prove her devotion. When the Knights were facing the Crusaders led by the impostor Richard I, Gareth held him down so the other knights could struck them both. Her brother Gawain was the one did it. The narration implies Gareth did a SuicideByCop because she couldn't stand the pain of terrible crimes she had done, but she could also not betray her idol Lancelot.
** After defeating the Lion King, Bedivere steps forward and returns the Excalibur to Artoria. Released from Rhongomyniad-induced [[BlueAndOrangeMorality Divine Spirit mentality]], Artoria returns to her ordinary self and thank Bedivere for everything he had done, before finally dying like she supposed to. Bedivere (complete with a special sprite) then doubles over crying and lamenting his king's fate.
