It is a NoExportForYou, but [[UsefulNotes/ImportGaming she has it in her collection on a completely different system]]. It's concept is weirder: you fight and defeat vampires by stripping them.

* One of the first few lines Neptune has is, "Neptune does what you all don't," which is appropriate since Sega, which Neptune represents, used "[[UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis Genesis]] does what Nintendon't" as an advertising line back in the day. What's more, this was a purely American ad campaign; the translators were actively adding to the shout outs, even obscure ones that many kids today likely wouldn't know about.
* At [[UsefulNotes/Xbox360 Leanbox]], the party encounters a man who is [[VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia looking for the culprit who stole the barrier protecting their town.]] With the exception of where he's holding his weapon, the silhouette really looks like Yuri Lowell.

* Nep and company are introduced to the [[UsefulNotes/GameAndWatch Watch & Game]] in a skit.

* In the skit "Amateur Writer's Contest", Blanc/White Heart wants to buy a personal computer for herself, but nothing with [[UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis Blast Processing]].

* Still in episode 6, Neptune poking fun at Noire's proud assertation that her systems were the best in the world is an obvious nod to Rudol Von Stroheim's catchphrase from the second part of ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'', which David Production animated prior to Neptunia. Just to make it more obvious, they added in visual onomatopoeia, a hallmark of Jojo.

* The big turtle ([[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext which usually has a palm tree, but doesn't have one here]]) in the [[UsefulNotes/SuperNintendo Super Ninttenland]] amusement park [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros is after Neptune's freshly bought peaches]]. * When Neptune is in her coma at the beginning of the game, she hopes that she doesn't go crazy and start "[[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog collecting rings floating by the ground]]" or wandering around and "stepping in some [[Franchise/{{Disgaea}} ABC gum]]".
