* LighterAndSofter: Compared to the previous installment, ''Series/UltramanTiga''. The main character is an immature {{Manchild}}, there are more BreatherEpisode between serious story arcs, and the tone is generally more light-hearted. It's worth noting though that whenever Spheres got directly involved, CerebusSyndrome kicked in and the episode tend to have more serious tone.

In 2022 the series received a spiritual remake and homage in ''Series/UltramanDecker'', meant to celebrate ''Dyna'''s 25th anniversary (along with the 55th anniversary of ''Series/Ultraseven''); some kaiju and aliens of this series make appearances while others receive homages.

''Ultraman Dyna'' is a {{toku}}satsu series that ran from 1997 to 1998, part of the ''Franchise/{{Ultra|Series}}'' franchise. It functions as a sequel series to ''Series/UltramanTiga'', set seven years after the series' end.

Mars and other worlds are being terraformed and a new team, Super GUTS, has been made to combat various threats. Shin Asuka, a light-hearted member of the team, becomes Dyna's host when the [[BigBad alien Spheres]] come to invade Mars. Now, he fights for the Neo Frontier whenever he is needed, either as a Super GUTS agent or as Ultraman Dyna.
