* AwfulWeddedLife: A few couples on the show have gone through this.
** [=NeNe=] & Gregg: In the early days of the show, the Leakeses argued quite a bit on camera. A notable argument between the two happens in Season 3 where [=NeNe=] finds out that Gregg had borrowed money from her friend Dwight without her knowledge. The Leakeses' marriage had gotten so bad that by the end of Season 4, they were divorced. They ended up reconciling in Season 5 and remarrying in the off-season between 5 and 6. They remained married until his passing in September of 2021.
** Shereé & Bob: The Whitfields' marriage had already ended by the time the show had begun but their relationship is explored a bit during Shereé's time(s) on the show. Shereé said that Bob had been sleeping around with other women and that she had taken on the brunt of raising their children by herself. In Season 9, it is revealed that Bob had physically assaulted Shereé at certain points in their relationship.
** Cynthia & Peter: Cynthia married Peter in her debut season against the wishes of her sister and their mother. Money seemed to be most responsible for driving the two of them apart with Peter opening many failed businesses which wrecked his finances and led to him dipping into hers. They divorced by the end of Season 9.
** Phaedra & Apollo: The Nidas' relationship confused many people with him being a convicted felon and her being a lawyer but they seemed fine for the most part until Season 5, Kenya's introduction. Kenya and Apollo were flirty with each other which angered Phaedra. Apollo eventually lied and said that Kenya tried to sleep with him in Los Angeles which led to Phaedra beginning a smear campaign against Kenya. Apollo later revealed that he lied on Kenya to Phaedra but she, Porsha, and [=NeNe=] don't believe it. Apollo ends up getting in trouble with the law and even had a mistress [[spoiler:(it wasnt't Kenya)]]. They have a very tense scene in Season 8 when he attempts to collect his belongings and finds out that Phaedra has changed the locks on the house. Even after Kenya and Phaedra "made up," Phaedra still secretly resented Kenya because she felt like she was a contributor to the downfall of their marriage.
** Kenya & Marc: The Dalys married in secret during the filming of Season 10, a move that angered production. After being put "on pause" in Season 11, Kenya returned in Season 12 and was noticeably different; seemingly, she was shrinking herself to become the wife that she thought Marc wanted and her castmates noticed this. Marc ended up becoming very distant from Kenya. He hardly spent any time with her; they had never moved in together; and she had never met his parents. Their relationship ended in a divorce that lasted twice as long as their marriage did, unfortunately.
** Porsha & Kordell: Kordell was very controlling over Porsha, requiring her to be a stay-at-home wife. Though Porsha tried to make things seem like they were fine, the Season 5 finale reveals that Kordell had filed for divorce--the Stewarts were no more. He leaves her hanging at that season's reunion, much to Peter's chagrin. In Season 7, Porsha reveals that she had felt bullied in her marriage.
** Though she was not married while a cast member, Claudia mentions that she had been in a marriage that was not good during the cast's therapy session with Dr. Jeff.
** Drew & Ralph: From the time Drew started on the show, their marriage has been shaky. In his wife's first season, Ralph went to Tampa, Florida, and never told Drew about what he was doing down there. Ralph was often dismissive of Drew's feelings about his actions and has been accused of Main/{{Gaslighting}} her. In Season 15, Ralph's alleged "Cousin" [[Characters/TheRealHousewivesOfAtlantaFriends Courtney]] comes in and causes discord between the two spouses due to her meddling in their relationship. About two months before Season 15's premiere, reports of the Pittmans heading to divorce court hit the blogs.

*** ''[[SpinoffSendoff Don't Be Tardy]]'' (2012-2020): The first ''Atlanta'' spin-off enjoyed eight seasons before its cancellation in May of 2021. It featured original cast member Kim Zolciak-Biermann; her then-husband, Kroy Biermann; and their children and other family members. The series first started as a wedding special named ''Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding'' in its first season. It later began to document the expansion of the Biermann family and their many adventures. Added DiffLines:

*ObnoxiousInLaws: Mama Joyce's disdain for her son-in-law, Todd, has been a recurring plotline on the show since Kandi introduced him in Season 6. She was not too fond of her previous fiancé, A.J., during their engagement in Season 2 either.

Added DiffLines:

*SpinOff: ''Atlanta'' has received the most spin-offs of the entire ''Real Housewives'' franchise with a grand total of ten. Below are the cast members whom the series were based off of:
**[=NeNe=] Leakes
***''I Dream of [=NeNe=]: The Wedding'' (2013): This seven-episode series focuses on [=NeNe=] remarrying her then ex-husband, Gregg Leakes. The couple previously divorced and reconciled throughout the third, fourth, and fifth seasons of the show. Castmates Cynthia and Marlo served as Leakes's bridesmaids.
**Kim Zolciak
***''[[SpinoffSendoff Don't Be Tardy]]'' (2012-2020): The first ''Atlanta'' spin-off enjoyed eight seasons before its cancellation in May of 2021. It inevitably became a SpinoffSendoff following Kim's disengagement and later departure from the parent series in its fifth season.
**Kandi Burruss:
***''The Kandi Factory'' (2013): This series focused on Kandi's musical ventures as she attempts to help jumpstart the careers of aspiring musical artists. Eight episodes aired before the show's end.
***''Kandi's Wedding'' (2014): Kandi's second spin-off focused on her marrying her husband, Todd Tucker. The show featured the couple planning their ''Film/ComingToAmerica'' themed wedding. As seen throughout ''RHOA'''s sixth season, Kandi's mother, Mama Joyce, is still not happy with her daughter's choice in groom. Kandi's bridesmaids included castmate, Phaedra; Music/XscapeGroup group members Tiny Harris and Tamera Wynn; and fellow singer, Music/FantasiaBarrino.
***''Kandi's Ski Trip'' (2015): This three-episode series follows Burruss and her family [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin trying to enjoy a ski trip]]. Tensions are still thick between Kandi's husband Todd and his mother-in-law, Joyce.
***''Xscape: Still Kickin' It'' (2017): Kandi and her Xscape groupmates Tiny, Tamika, and [=LaTocha=] are trying to get their groove back after not performing together in nearly twenty years. This also comes after a decade of Kandi's estrangement from [=LaTocha=] and Tamika. In 2023, this series was followed up by ''SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B'' in 2023 (though it is not considered a ''RHOA'' spin-off).
***''Kandi Koated Nights'' (2018): This talk show was elevated from Burruss's former online series of the same name. It featured Burruss and various guests discussing sex and other topics involving relationships. Three episodes of this series were aired.
***''Kandi & The Gang'' (2022): This series follows Burruss and her husband Todd managing their restaurant, Old Lady Gang. Alongside them, the establishment's staff are featured cast members as well. And of course, the restaurant's eponymous Old Lady Gang comprised of Mama Joyce and her sisters, Aunts Nora and Bertha, also star in the series. The show was canceled following the conclusion of the first season. However, Burruss later confirmed that the series has been picked up again for an upcoming second season.
**Porsha Williams
***''Porsha's Having a Baby'' (2019): This show focused on a pregnant Williams and her then-fiancé Dennis McKinney preparing for the arrival of their baby girl, PJ.
***''[[SpinoffSendoff Porsha's Family Matters]]'' (2021-2022): Williams and her family take a trip to Mexico. Drama soon arises between Williams and her now ex-fiancé Dennis and his mother. This series comes directly after her Season 13 scandal of her engagement to Simon Guobadia, former husband of Falynn who was a recurring cast member at the time.
