* Creator/NickJr examples:
** This happened to four ''WesternAnimation/AbbyHatcher'' episodes: "Secret Basement Disco", "Frazzled Fuzzly", "Fuzzly Slumber Party" and "Fix It Flug". The premiere week was originally listed on Nickelodeon's site as starting on February 16th, 2019 with the intention to air these episodes over the traditional winter break period. However, they were pre-empted by the decision to show a week-long ''WesternAnimation/PAWPatrol'' marathon instead to promote its' sixth season, and were moved to the next week until re-runs of ''WesternAnimation/ButterbeansCafe'' took the slots of the new episodes at the last minute. They finally wound up premiering on the week of March 19th, 2019.
*** The episode "The Princess Flug Bug; Abby's Farm Animal Friend" also suffered from this. It was delayed constantly for two years [[DistancedFromCurrentEvents the plot was deemed to be too reminiscent of the COVID-19 pandemic]] before finally premiering on April 1, 2022 in a midnight time slot.
** ''WesternAnimation/ShimmerAndShine'', ''WesternAnimation/NellaThePrincessKnight'' and ''WesternAnimation/SunnyDay'' were originally airing multiple episodes over many weeks in their early runs on Nick Jr. on Nick, but have since moved to the Nick Jr. channel and began airing only one new episode a month, mostly on Sundays as part of the "Girls Rule Sundays" programming block which started in November 2018.
** ''WesternAnimation/BlazeAndTheMonsterMachines'' originally aired its first episodes over several weeks in its premiere month. Since then, it's followed a pattern of airing one to three episodes every month.
** ''WesternAnimation/DoraTheExplorer'' had a five-year hiatus in the middle of its eighth season. At first, this was because Nickelodeon had put the show on hiatus and replaced it with the spin-off ''WesternAnimation/DoraAndFriendsIntoTheCity'' instead of the main series. However, said show became a flop in both ratings and toy sales due to being overshadowed by ''WesternAnimation/PAWPatrol'', causing Nickelodeon to postpone the remaining episodes of ''Dora The Explorer'' indefinitely. The last six episodes of the show finally premiered in July of 2019 to promote ''Film/DoraAndTheLostCityOfGold''.
** ''WesternAnimation/FacesMusicParty'': It took ''three months'' after "Family/Big Cats" aired for the Season 1 finale "Mega Party" to air on Nick Jr.

** PBS has a strange addiction to ordering a whopping 40 episodes for a show's first season. This is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because it means you get more content, but also a curse because a show's first season could take up to 2 years to finish airing. For example, ''WesternAnimation/ReadyJetGo'' took 2 years to finish airing its first season. The 40 episode format also makes online distribution a nightmare. Episodes can take months or even years to get added to Prime Video, and the seasons are chopped up into smaller chunks to get more profit. No, ''WesternAnimation/WildKratts'' doesn't have 19 seasons; it only has 6.

** "The Stink" was originally supposed to premiere on April 27, 2018, and "The Awareness" was supposed to premiere on May 3, 2018, but were replaced by reruns of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Unikitty}}!'', respectively. The latter episode was accidentally uploaded on VOD services, however, and both aired in the UK and [[ShortRunInPeru Turkey]] in September 2018, then finally aired in November in the US.

* ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice'' aired its first 9 episodes between January and March 2011. Episode ten aired in September, followed by a regular schedule until episode 18 in November 2011. Episode 19 didn't air until March 3, 2012. Bizarrely, after the first season finished airing a few weeks later on April 21 (about 15 months after the season premiere), the show ''immediately'' proceeded with the second season premiere the following week, before another hiatus, between June 9, 2012, and September 29, 2012....before ANOTHER unscheduled, unannounced hiatus two weeks later, delaying the show (and the entire WesternAnimation/DCNation block it was a part of) until January 5, 2013.

* Ankama, the producers of ''WesternAnimation/{{Wakfu}}'' have serious deadline issues. Firstly, the show was meant to be the [[TheAnimeOfTheGame The Cartoon Of The Game]], only the game itself had been in closed beta before the cartoon aired. Secondly, the first season aired with significant gaps between episodes, sometimes as long as three months, because Ankama couldn't get it ready on time. Their deadline issues seem to be motivated by perfectionism rather than laziness, given the consistent quality when they do release something.
