* Urshifu is a Legendary Pokemon Hailing from the Galar Region, specifically the Isle of Armor. Unlike most legendary Pokemon, Urshifu is a specifies: they begin their lives as Kubfu, who then train under Pokemon Trainers before they adopt the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style. However, both styles of Urshifu have the ability Unseen Fist, which allows all of their contact moves to bypass defensive measures such as protect with no damage penalty. Due to this ability matching the trope UnblockableAttack, the Court of Gods decided to allow two Urshifu, one of each style, as well as a Kubfu to ascend as the representatives of the species. Rumor is that they are actually a family, but this has never been explicitly confirmed.
* In the world of Pokemon, the move Protect is learned by nearly all Pokemon, and is essential for allowing creative strategies and entertaining games in competitive battling. However, Urshifu's Unseen Fist ability allows them to attack through Protect and similar moves (Spiky Shield, Baneful Bunker, etc.) with attacks that make contact. Even Detect, which dodges moves, is not safe. Coincidentally, their signature abilities (Wicked Blow, Surging Strikes) are contact moves with perfect accuracy; additionally, they are also guaranteed critical hits, which allows them to ignore any decrease in Urshifu's attack or increases in the target's defenses. This makes Urshifu a nigh-unstoppable attacker, and many trainers have complained about the Pokemon's effects on the battling meta. In the Pantheon, their ability to ignore most defensive abilities has also made them a dreaded opponent, as instead of blocking or dodging blows a fighter must face Urshifu head-on. As the Pantheon is full of Strong Martial artists, the Urshifu have befriended many of the good-aligned martial artists in the Pantheon; on the other hand, because they believe that martial arts should be a force for good, they adamantly oppose evil martial artists like Ou Di Wan Lee.
** Urshifu Strike believes in ending fights as quickly as possible, and fosuces one One-Hit Ko's with its special move Wicked Blow. One day while walking around the Pantheon, Urshifu witnessed a monster attack by a Gohma Striker. The pokemon was just about to run into the fray and penetrate its shell, but he was beat to ``punch`` by Saitama, a bald superhero who nearly vaporized the beast in a single strike. In awe of this power and heroism, Urshifu followed Saitama around night and day until the caped Baldy accepted it as a student and partner pokemon. Through this connection, Urshifu has gotten to know other heroes beyond the martial arts sphere, such as its fellow student Genos. The pokemon also respects Li Shuwen, whose unique technique allows him to kill opponents in a single strike, although it's not sure about the "kill" part.
** Urshifu Rapid Strike strives to emulate a river, with nonstop strikes and flexible pressure. During a martial arts tournament in the Pantheon, this pokemon had the good fortune of being matched against the one and only Bruce Lee, founder of Jeet Kune Do, a style with one of its most important precepts being "Be Like Water". When Urshifu tried to use its signature Surging Strikes, the master expertly parried and countered the first strike, circumventing Unseen Fist. After the tournament ended, the Wushu Pokemon asked Mr. Lee to be its trainer and teacher, to which he agreed. Through Bruce, Urshifu also got to befriend Ip Man and Chuck Norris, his teacher and greatest rival. Chuck is impressed by both Urshifu but thinks that the Single Strike style is more his speed.
** Unlike Urshifu, Kubfu is just a trainee, so it often studies different martial arts texts in hopes of developing its skills. When one of the Kubfu found about a golden scroll that contained the secret to "limitless power", it decided to visit the last deity to hold the scroll, Po, to investigate. Po explained that the scroll didn't actually have anything on it, and instead offered to help train the little bear. Now that Po is the Kubfu's trainer, the two spend much of their days eating and training.

* Apparently, these Pokemon's power comes from a special organ that gives it "Fighting Energy", which it can then release with special breathing techniques. This attracted the attention of Hamon users, who use special breathing techniques to manipulate life energy. Both Urshifu recognize the likes of Joeseph Joestar and Ceasar Zepelli as righteous fighters, although it took a while for the Hamon users to explain the concept of vampires to the Pokemon. The Pokemon are considering training in Hamon in order to broaden their abilities and for the art's health effects. Competitive battlers dread the day an Urshifu somehow also becomes a fast healer.

* Despite being powerful Legendary Pokemon, Urshifu are not treated with as much importance compared to other legendaries due to being an entire species as well as not being responsible for any natural forces. Despite this, Urshifu have managed to hold their own against other Legendary due to their fighting skill. Notably, the researcher Quillon's Single Strike Urshifu was able to beat Regice and Registeel. The legendary titans, including Regigigas, are itching for a rematch.
** However, Urshifu achieve their true potential by using Dynamax, an anomaly unique to the Galar region where a Pokemon grows to ginormous sizes. * In the House of the Knowledge, there was a great debate amongst a book club who were reading a novel. In the book, the characters were seemingly by a resentful spirit through supernatural means. Some of the club thought that these seemingly supernatural occurrences were just a cover for the true culprit and their human methods; the mystery had just yet to be solved. However, some members were unconvinced by this argument and treated the book as a fantasy story. The argument between the two sides was so loud that it tore a hole, in reality; out of this fissure was a golden butterfly, who formed into a blonde woman wearing a dark dress.
