When the Northuldran chief showed concern over the dam, Runeard killed him in cold blood and waged battle on the Northuldrans, killing many on both sides. * [[Characters/KingdomHeartsVanitas Vanitas]], Number XI of the [[Characters/KingdomHeartsOrganizationXIII Thirteen]] Seekers of [[DarkIsEvil Darkness]], desires to [[OmnicidalManiac spread Darkness across all worlds]]. His first known attempt would be by possessing [[Characters/KingdomHeartsVentus Ventus]] and forcing him to kill Strelitzia and take her place as a union leader, causing Ventus to be haunted by nightmares of the deed and tricked into thinking he did it of his own will. Vanitas would then attempt to use Ventus and the data works as means to grow stronger and consume more worlds along with his brethren. After gaining his own body as Vanitas, he would become [[Characters/KingdomHeartsMasterXehanort Master Xehanort]]'s apprentice and be the forerunner in his cataclysmic plan to restart the Keyblade War by having the Unversed beings inside his body cause destruction across multiple worlds to lure Ventus from home, so he could torment and goad him into fighting him to forge the X-Blade and take over his body so he could begin a war that could "reduce all worlds to nothing". Returning once again for another Keyblade War via time travel, Vanitas restores his heart with the negative emotions of children and begins tormenting his "brothers" [[Characters/KingdomHeartsSora Sora]] and Ventus again so he can once again claim Ven's body. In his final moments, deciding to [[RedemptionRejection reject redemption]] from his brothers despite having the capacity to do good, Vanitas shows himself to be the worst out of all the villains in the ''Kingdom Hearts'' universe.

** ''Manga/KingdomHeartsI'' & ''[[Manga/KingdomHeartsChainOfMemories Chain of Memories]]'': [[TheManBehindTheMan Ansem, Seeker of Darkness]] is the Heartless form of Xehanort. Masterminding the [[Characters/KingdomHeartsHeartless Heartless]]' invasion of several worlds and Maleficent's plan to capture the Seven Princesses of Heart in order to open the Final Keyhole, Ansem [[MindRape Mind Rapes]] Riku so that he can possess his body. He stabs Maleficent with a Keyblade in order to destroy her once she's [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness no longer of use to him]], and then deceives Sora into using that same Keyblade to make what would ultimately be a SenselessSacrifice, turning [[Characters/KingdomHeartsSora Sora]] into a Heartless and unsealing the Final Keyhole. When [[Characters/KingdomHeartsRiku Riku]]'s heart fights back from within to stop him from attempting to kill [[Characters/KingdomHeartsKairi Kairi]], Ansem uses his power to banish Riku's heart into the Dark Realm. Ultimately planning to open the Door of Darkness to let darkness consume all existence, Ansem shows nothing but glee towards his destructive ambitions. Returning after defeat as a specter within Riku's heart, Ansem attempts to play the boy's own emotions against him in order to take control of the boy's body once more, vicious to the end. Showcasing no redeeming features and [[VileVillainSaccharineShow played dead seriously against the manga's usually lighthearted and silly tone]], Xehanort's Heartless would do whatever it took to gain ultimate knowledge and power, and to [[DrunkOnTheDarkSide sate his undying hunger for darkness]].
** ''Manga/KingdomHeartsII'' & ''[[Manga/KingdomHearts358DaysOver2 358/2 Days]]'': [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist Xemnas]], the Nobody form of Xehanort and leader of [[Characters/KingdomHeartsOrganizationXIII Organization XIII]], is portrayed as a cruel sociopath who rules his organization without care for any of its members, viewing his followers as weaklings who are only fit to serve his purposes. Looking to exploit the Keyblade's power to claim hearts, he allows [[Characters/KingdomHeartsRoxas Roxas]] and [[Characters/KingdomHeartsXion Xion]] to grow close, intending to then pit them against each other so he can judge which Keybearer would be more useful to his plans, even tampering with Xion's form, [[MindRape Mind Raping]] her and sending her to her death. When Axel is sent to look for the runaway Roxas, Xemnas threatens to eliminate him if he doesn't bring Roxas back dead or alive. He later attacks the Radiant Garden with hordes of Heartless, almost getting Goofy critically injured in the process, just so [[Characters/KingdomHeartsSora Sora]] and King Mickey can slay them all and give him enough hearts to complete his own Kingdom Hearts. When Ansem the Wise and Mickey try to stop his plans at his castle, Xemnas orders his Nobodies to kill them, and proceeds to overtake the Great Heart from within in an attempt to [[OmnicidalManiac reduce all of existence to nothingness]] and destroy all those in his way. Cold-blooded, pitiless, and lacking his game counterpart's TragicVillain qualities, Xemnas continuously shows himself to be more monstrous than any other Nobody solely because [[ItsAllAboutMe he thinks it in his best interest to be so]].

* ''WesternAnimation/OneHundredAndOneDalmatianStreet'': [[CruellaToAnimals Cruella de Vil]], the one and only Devil Woman, returns in this series to seek revenge on the descendants of Pongo and Perdita. The decades since [[WesternAnimation/OneHundredAndOneDalmatians the original movie]] have turned Cruella into a harridan by harridan's standards who now acts with full regard to the Dalmatians' sapience. Cruella plans to [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals mince all 99 of the puppies in her very own skinning machine]], intending to [[ForcedToWatch force their parents Doug and Delilah to watch]] the entire macabre process before turning them into "matching luggage". [[EvilAunt Cruella]] is also hideously abusive to her grand-nephew Hunter, at one point leaving him locked in a shipping container for six months with only dog food to eat, resulting in the poor kid undergoing SanitySlippage. When he discovers that she actually intends to kill the puppies and calls her a monster, Cruella takes it as a complement before ordering his henchmen to have him caged up with the puppies because she has grown bored of him.

** [[EvilCounterpart Mozenrath]] is the [[ArchEnemy most personal]], recurring foe that Aladdin has faced. A youthful [[EvilSorcerer sorcerer]] who betrayed, zombified, and enslaved his own master, Mozenrath enacts a variety of schemes to destroy Agrabah and bind Genie to his will. Attempting to unleash the Wind Jackal to annihilate Agrabah and threatening to do the same to every other kingdom of the world if they don't kowtow to him, Mozenrath later dominates the entire race of Sprites, turning them into a force of slaves that he works to near-death before trying to wipe them all out when they rebel. Mozenrath also traps a large portion of the Sultan's palace in an alternate plane of existence to be damned while he swoops in for control, and in another plot manipulated Genie and his girlfriend with dirty tricks so as to turn them into [[LivingBattery living batteries]]. In his final bout of villainy, Mozenrath horribly tries to [[GrandTheftMe bodyjack Aladdin]] and leave the boy hero trapped in either his own dying body, or inside Mozenrath's mind while he conquers the world.

** [[CatsAreMean Mirage]] is [[CardCarryingVillain evil incarnate]], devoted only to proliferating misery and destroying all that is good. [[EstablishingCharacterMoment As an early testament to her evil]], Mirage orders a village and its population incinerated in her debut just because of the crops they grow for the surrounding land. Mirage's plots range from the grandiose to the sadistically [[EvilIsPetty petty]], everything from attempting to have all of Agrabah destroyed and brewing up civil wars for fun, to trying to destroy Aladdin and Jasmine's love for each other by slowly transforming Jasmine into a snake. Mirage even tempts [[WouldHurtAChild children]] into her clutches, promising them immortality in exchange for becoming the monstrous El-Katib, a process she neglects to mention entails their eternal servitude in a dark void with release only ever three years. Mirage has no issue abandoning the El-Katib to die, coldly leaving them all to perish in the sunlight when one of them finally defies her.

* ''[[Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanDeadMenTellNoTales Dead Men Tell No Tales]]'': [[Characters/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanTheSilentMary Capitán Armando Salazar]] is a [[KnightTemplar self-righteous fanatic]] who seeks nothing less than the total annihilation of all piracy regardless of the level of criminality possessed by his victims. Scourging the seas for years in which he ambushed and slaughtered thousands of unsuspecting pirates and killed even the wounded, surrendering survivors with relish, Salazar was condemned to a life of haunting the Devil's Triangle after his death at the hands of Jack Sparrow. Taking his first opportunity to escape, Salazar massacres vessels across the ocean before forcing Barbossa to ally with him after sadistically killing most of the man's crew. Ultimately [[DemonicPossession possessing]] Henry Turner to use as a HumanShield, Salazar tries to torturously kill Jack with the Trident of Poseidon and bring about a new wave of decimation to the seas. Despite claiming to be avenging his dead father in his hunt for pirates, supplementary material reveals that Salazar's own deluded ego drove him to [[{{Patricide}} kill his father]] simply for accepting bribes from pirates.

* ''[[Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanOnStrangerTides On Stranger Tides]]'': [[TheDreaded Captain Edward Teach]], the infamous UsefulNotes/{{Blackbeard}}, prides himself on being one of the most feared men on the high seas. Blackbeard [[BadBoss abuses and murders members of his own crew]] on the basis of "if I don't kill a man every now and then, they forget who I am". He incinerates [[Characters/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanQueenAnnesRevenge his ship]]'s cook to demonstrate this and resurrecting some of his own slain crew members as mindlessly obedient zombies. On his quest to the FountainOfYouth to avert his prophesied death at the hands of a one-legged man, Blackbeard puts a mermaid named Syrena through hideous treatment for the purpose of gaining her tear, first showing her the remains of her own fellow mermaids and then ordering Philip Swift, the single man who displays compassion to her, supposedly killed in front of her to further manipulate her. Blackbeard claims to love his daughter, but undersells even this through a risky game of RussianRoulette with his own daughter's life and ultimately trying to sacrifice her life for his own at the Fountain of Youth. Blackbeard admits he feels closest to God in moments of pain and anguish and calmly tortured and murdered anyone who dared to stand against him.

* ''WesternAnimation/TangledTheSeries'': [[VileVillainSaccharineShow Zhan Tiri]] is a [[EvilFormerFriend former friend]] of Lord Demanitus who betrayed him during their search for the Sundrop and Moonstone to claim the power of both artifacts for herself. Freed by her followers, Zhan Tiri corrupted the Great Tree to use its powers to kill any who opposed her, and when resealed, her followers took her teachings to commit monstrous acts in her name, such as [[WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}} Mother Gothel's abuse]] of Rapunzel; and a curse of Zhan Tiri's on the land of Corona leads to another character's descent into villainy. [[TheCorrupter Playing as Cassandra's confidant]], the "Enchanted Girl", Zhan Tiri manipulates her into betraying Rapunzel, pitting them against one another while she takes the Moonstone for herself and escaping her prison. Free at last, Zhan Tiri eventually betrays [[Characters/TangledCassandra Cassandra]] to steal the two artifacts and with her newfound power attempts to painfully drain the lives of the people of Corona.

* ''[[WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}} What Once Was Mine]]'': [[UsefulNotes/ElizabethBathory Countess Elizabeth Bathory]] (sic), even before the story started, was a heinous SerialKiller who kidnapped a slew of young girls, murdered them, and [[BloodBath bathed in their blood]] to stay young. Bathory did this after the blood of a servant accidentally got on her, and she discovered it made her skin youthful, a servant whom she later killed. Learning about [[Characters/TangledRapunzel Rapunzel]], a baby whose hair killed people in certain circumstances, Bathory immediately wanted this baby to herself, and would try and buy her off Mother Gothel, to whom the royal family had given her. When Rapunzel escapes, Bathory immediately starts chasing her down, burning down the Snuggly Duckling in an attempt to get Rapunzel. Bathory later gets her hands on Rapunzel and explains that she wants to use her deadly hair to TakeOverTheWorld. Bathory manages to get her hands on Flynn Rider and threatens to kill him, Rapunzel, and Magda before draining their blood if Rapunzel does not give a demonstration of her moon powers.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{The Lion King|1994}}'': [[Characters/TheLionKingScar Scar]] is [[TheResenter the envious]] younger brother of King Mufasa who, upon losing his position as next in line to the throne by the birth of his nephew [[Characters/TheLionKingSimba Simba]], sought to take it by force. First [[EvilUncle tricking the young Simba]] and his friend Nala into entering the Elephant Graveyard to be killed by his hyena henchmen, Scar next orchestrates a wildebeest stampede and tosses Mufasa to his death after he attempts to rescue his son. Blaming a grief-stricken Simba for his father's murder, Scar forces him into exile before commanding the hyenas to finish him off. Upon [[TyrantTakesTheHelm taking control]], Scar's [[TheCaligula incompetence as king]] leads to a famine, with Scar uncaring that he is sentencing everyone to death, even striking Mufasa's widow Sarabi unconscious when she criticizes his rule. Upon Simba's return, Scar takes advantage of Simba's lingering guilt over his father's death to attempt to execute him publicly, pausing only to mockingly reveal his role in Mufasa's death. Later, to save his own life, he attempts to foist the blame on his hyena henchmen before attempting to kill Simba, even after the latter spares his life.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheLionGuard'': [[Characters/TheLionKingScar Scar]], Mufasa's envious younger [[CainAndAbel brother]], is just as vile as he was in [[WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994 the original film]]. Once the leader of the original [[Characters/TheLionGuardLionGuard Lion Guard]], Scar decides to overthrow and kill Mufasa when the latter playfully nicknames his brother "Scar" when Scar tried to seek praise for killing a traitorous lion and cobra who scarred him--not revealing that he had been perfectly willing to work with them to overthrow Mufasa. When Scar's fellow Lion Guard members refused to help him overthrow Mufasa, Scar uses the [[MightyRoar Roar of the Elders]] to [[BadBoss kill them]], but ends up losing the Roar in the process. In season 2, years after his initial death, Scar is [[BackFromTheDead brought back as a fiery spirit]] and tries to [[Characters/TheLionGuardArmyOfScar lead the animals of the Outlands]] on a brutal conquest of the Pride Lands, first by cutting off the river and entire water supply of the whole Pride Lands, and eventually simply trying to have them burn the savannah and all its inhabitants. In the [[Recap/TheLionGuardS3E1BattleForThePrideLands season 3 premier]], Scar attempts to burn the new Lion Guard, [[Characters/TheLionKingSimba Simba]], Nala, Kiara, and the hyena clan to death, the latter for one of them considering on defecting to the Pride Lands, before planning on tricking Kion into erupting the volcano with his roar, which will kill everyone in the Pride Lands. When confronted by the Lion Guard, Scar has Ushari scar Kion, with the snake's venom slowly turning Kion evil as Scar declares that Kion will now be just like him. Even after the death of his physical body, Scar remained a hateful creature driven by spite.

* ''WesternAnimation/{{The Lion King|2019}}'': [[Characters/TheLionKingScar Scar]] is a wrathful and bitter lion [[AmbitionIsEvil driven by an insatiable desire for power]]. [[DrivenByEnvy Envious]] of his brother Mufasa's position as king, Scar attempts to have Mufasa's son [[Characters/TheLionKingSimba Simba]]--[[EvilUncle Scar's own nephew]]--[[WouldHurtAChild killed]] by tricking him into entering the domain of the vicious hyena clan. When this fails, Scar allies with the hyenas and orchestrates a wildebeest stampede, killing Mufasa and blaming Simba for the tragedy, exiling him before sending the hyenas to finish him off. Taking over as king, [[TheCaligula Scar]] reduces the Pridelands to a barren wasteland by killing everything with no restrictions in addition to starving the lionesses when Sarabi, Mufasa's widow, refuses to become his mate. When Simba returns, Scar attempts to kill him personally, stopping only to tauntingly reveal his role in Mufasa's death. When his crimes are exposed, Scar orders the hyenas to kill everyone in sight, and when Simba has him at his mercy, attempts to blame them for his crimes.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles1'': [[EvilCounterpart Syndrome]] was once [[LoonyFan Buddy Pine]], an aspiring hero [[ItsAllAboutMe seeking fame and fortune]], who became outraged at all Supers when his "idol", Mr. Incredible, ceased his attempts at being a hero for his own safety. [[FromNobodyToNightmare Over a decade later]], Syndrome enacts his revenge, as he creates the "Omnidroid", a Super-killing machine that he uses to massacre Supers he lures in to duel it under the illusion it is simply a rogue robot. Upon capturing and torturing Mr. Incredible--notably forcing him to listen as his wife and children are seemingly killed by Syndrome's forces--Syndrome unveils his master plan to launch the Omnidroid into a highly-populated city, have it target innocents at random, then swoop in and "[[EngineeredHeroics save the day]]" to become the greatest hero in the world. When the Incredibles foil this plan, Syndrome makes one last attempt to spitefully ruin the family by kidnapping their infant child, Jack-Jack, and raising him to be a supervillain.
* ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory3'': [[Characters/ToyStoryLotso Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear]] is the ruler of [[Characters/ToyStorySunnysideDaycareToys Sunnyside Daycare]], and oppresses the other toys through brute force and violence. Originally the favorite toy of a young girl named Daisy, Lotso was [[VengefulAbandonedToy mistakenly lost and replaced, leading him to believe that all toys were worthless and unloved]]. Taking over Sunnyside, Lotso subjects the toys in the Caterpillar Room to horrid mistreatment from the younger children. When Andy's toys request that they be relocated to the Butterfly Room, Lotso [[BrainwashedAndCrazy resets Buzz Lightyear]] and has him beat down his friends, showing a cold satisfaction while doing so. When Woody frees the toys and they attempt to escape, Lotso has [[ColdBloodedTorture Chatter Telephone beaten]] in order to get him to explain Woody's escape plan before ordering the toys disposed of in the dumpster. When his minions turn on him and he is taken to the dump, along with Andy's toys, he abandons them to burn to death in the incinerator, [[UngratefulBastard ignoring that they had previously saved his life]]. While he has a tragic backstory, Woody himself [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse calls him out on how weak it is]], stating that Lotso had abandoned her, not the other way around. Sociopathic and misanthropic, Lotso may have [[FauxAffablyEvil appeared innocent]], but was depraved at his core.

* ''Film/{{Aladdin|2019}}'': [[Characters/AladdinJafar Jafar]], the Grand Vizier, is [[AdaptationalVillainy much worse]] here than in [[{{WesternAnimation/Aladdin}} the original animated film]]. Seeking the Genie's lamp, Jafar attempts to send several prisoners into the Cave of Wonders to retrieve it, resulting in one of the prisoners being killed. Jafar then [[BadBoss kills one of his own guards]] for calling him "second". When Aladdin retrieves the lamp for Jafar, the latter coldly leaves the former to die in the cave, and later throws him into the ocean when he returns as Prince Ali. Upon retrieving the lamp, Jafar becomes Sultan of Agrabah and a powerful sorcerer, sending Aladdin to a wasteland to die a slow and painful death. He then painfully tortures the Sultan to force Jasmine to marry him [[EvilIsPetty just to spite her and the Sultan]]. When Jasmine and Aladdin steal the lamp from him he attacks them with a giant Iago and a twister, endangering civilians and destroying the Magic Carpet in the process.
