The funny person has to still be inside her, somewhere." # YMMV.Alice19th: Nyozeka's Heroic Sacrifice, when she dies protecting Alice. Although Master Lotsuan reveals to Alice that she is going to reincarnate sooner or later, the way she sacrificed because she loved and trusted Alice too much (and because she always wanted to meet a human whose heart would connect with her) is heartbreaking. The fact that she dies in her rabbit form makes it worse.

# YMMV.BoomerExpress: After Vikki defeats Typhonis (the Precursor creature at the end of book two who tried to destroy the main hero`s home world) it asks her why she didn`t just take the easy way out and flee from her dimension when given the chance. Vikki`s response before delivering the final blow is that Jared risked his life to save her and another world from a similar sort of danger, implying that his heroics from book one inspired her to do the same here.
# YMMV.SpiderMan3: Before the film's release, Stan Lee considered his cameo in the movie to be his personal favorite up to that point. In light of his passing, some fans have agreed that it's easily one of his most poignant. This also applies to Venom, who appears in the movie for ten to fifteen minutes but does a lot in such a short time frame, not to mention that he has a memorable battle against Spider-Man. Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy does a pretty good job despite having a character so underused she was almost entirely redundant. One gets the impression she could have been a great love interest had there not been a dozen other competing plotlines and characters. A far more minor character, but the little boy who expresses a Girls Have Cooties reaction when Spider-Man kisses Gwen.
# YMMV.{{Gnomes}}: During the lecture at the end of the story, Tomte notes the practical extinction of wolves and beavers in Europe. As of 2022, Eurasian Beavers are classified as a Least Concern species due to successful reintroduction and conservationism across mainland Europe, with some also being brought to the British Isles (this is ongoing but seems to be going well). Wolves, meanwhile, are recovering steadily from centuries of being hunted and killed. Bears, another group Tomte mentioned as being reduced severely, are also recovering, and the European Bison, an animal that was once hunted to extinction in the wild, has recovered via captive populations. While not completely returned to their territory, the European Bison has been classified as Not Threatened by the IUCN.
# YMMV.TheGoldenGirls: Of all the girls, Dorothy was the biggest Butt-Monkey when it came to her eligibility among men, receiving snide comments about her looks, fashion sense, and her personality from all corners of life, including her mother. While it served as a large source of humor in the show, it was clear that Dorothy struggled the most when it came to finding love with another again, especially as she was still coming to terms with her bitter divorce from Stan. Come the series finale, Dorothy is the first of the four to remarry and to permanently resettle into her new life, in spite of all the mockery and put-downs she received in her efforts, and with the full blessing of her friends, her family, and even her former husband.
# Heartwarming.TheWatchers: The Watcher, in episode 1, did not hide his emotions when he interrogated the victim, James, on what he did to the poor girl who submitted his name on their list (James was later revealed to have beaten the poor girl senseless just because of differences in nationalities). It is certainly HeartwarmingInHindsight to see the Watcher being protective of his more defenseless clients.
# YMMV.TheSimpsonsS1E1SimpsonsRoastingOnAnOpenFire: When Patty ridicules Homer, Lisa defends him, saying "aside from the fact that he has the same frailties as all human beings, he's the only father I have. Therefore, he is my model of manhood, and my estimation of him will govern the prospects of my adult relationships. So I hope you bear in mind that any knock at him is a knock at me, and I am far too young to defend myself against such onslaughts.". "Lisa's Wedding" would show that she wouldn't forget this thinking, as the flash-forward to her adulthood showed her breaking her off her wedding with her fiancé Hugh because he tried to cut Homer out of her life.
# YMMV.FiveNightsAtFreddysSecurityBreach: Roxanne's insecurity over her popularity and self-worth becomes this now that she's one of the more popular characters from the game, and not just for obvious reasons; even without leather pantsing her, there are fans who wish to hug her and tell her that she's the best and/or that she's not a loser, and also — as stated below — longed for the DLC to give her and the other Glamrocks a happy ending, possibly even acquiring her as an ally. While she didn't get repaired, she did become an ally (albeit only during a brief cutscene near the end), so it seems fans got their wish to some extent.
# YMMV.TheMerryGoRoundBrokeDown: The fic, set and written in 2008, has a scene depicting Arthur Read and Buster Bunny studying to become detectives as a fallback career, with the possibility of their show getting canceled being presented as likely to happen in the near future. Arthur ended up running for another fourteen years after that, with the series finale showing Arthur and Buster's careers as adults.

# YMMV.ArtOfDying: Get Thru This was written when Jonny's father was diagnosed with cancer, meant to be interpreted as uplifting in the sense that the listener will figure a way to "Get through it". His father survived in the end, so the song is now a triumphant celebration whenever he sings it.
# Heartwarming.KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar: Miyuki, I'm a lousy person. I don't have the authority to boss you around. However, there is one thing that I want you to promise me. When the people he loves or the girl he loves is in trouble, a man will protect them, no matter what he takes. And he will face any challenge to do so. Miyuki, become that sort of man. That's all I ask of you. Of course, what follows after this is a Mood Whiplash that cuts to the present, where he's willing to leave Kaguya to pump the massive balloon just to save his own skin. However, this also served as a HeartwarmingInHindsight, as it's implied to be part of the reason behind his Nice Guy tendencies.
# Heartwarming.CriticalRoleIronAndTheCoast: Molly getting the party to agree to help the Firbolgs captured by the Iron Shepherds, and giving one of his moon flasks to the Firbolg child, are HeartwarmingInHindsight given that Molly died at the end of the episode, so these good deeds were among his last actions.

Ezra has recently just had an adventure, but it resulted in a Downer Ending and it has done nothing more than seemingly drill in that he has no one... until a family comes along.
# Pantheon.RidingAndControl: Thought she heard the voice of Shirley Fenette, a classmate at Ashford Acedemy. Turns out it was just Kanade Minamino. Watching her interaction with Hibiki Hojo caused Kallen to shed tears, remembering her deceased friend and what could have been ...and what might recently have, making things all the more touching.

One example is when Hikari learns of the orphanage that raises Blacksnakes, he's horrified and talks about how he wishes for a world where children never have to see bloodshed, let alone spill blood, and in response Throné remarks on how if more people were like Hikari, she thinks the world would be a better place.

Star Trek: Prodigy would later confirm that he did indeed receive exactly that, and went on to become a captain.

In the end, they were.
# HilariousInHindsight.ThisBites: Doubling with HeartwarmingInHindsight, during Sabaody Revolutionary, the Straw Hats and their allies break apart the slave market on Sabaody Archipalego, complete with Luffy starting a bonfire with the slaves' explosive collars. It was mentioned that Sun God Nika, the being Luffy's fruit is based off, was known as the "Warrior of Liberation". The Cross-Brain inadvertently had Luffy live up to a title he had yet to gain.
# YMMV.SouthParkS4E5CartmanJoinsNAMBLA: In this episode, Kenny is terrified of getting a little sibling and goes to drastic lengths to prevent it, partly because he hates the idea of having to share food or care for them. If only he knew that in later episodes, not only would he suddenly have a little sister, he would frequently give her advice, beat up bullies, and use all of his money to keep her happy.
# Anime.YuriOnIce: Episode 7. The one with that infamous The Big Damn Kiss — yes, it did happen. The writers have stated that Episode 10 was a filler. Yet, after watching it, you have to watch the whole show from the start, because the episode changes everything that's happened up until that point, particularly regarding Victor's interactions with Yuri, and Christophe's relationship with Yuri. And most of all, the development of the plot as a whole gets an entirely deeper meaning. Without explaining why, Episode 11 is by far the most emotionally-devastating one of them all.

# YMMV.SuperMarioRPG: Punchinello was a one-shot boss in the original game who is never seen after his defeat and his sole wish was to become famous. In the remake, he appears in the ending standing on stage with the rest of the cast and his handiwork with enhancing Bowser's Chain Chomp impresses the latter enough to offer him a job fixing up his castle, giving Punchinello the shot at fame he always wanted.

Lindsay would go on to voice the lead character of RWBY, with Michael later landing a role as a supporting character and landing several jobs in actual anime dubs. We'd eventually learn from what Angelita implies in "It's a Wonderful Leap," as well as what we see with Stawpah in "Mirror Image" that leaping is something that real angels are capable of. Al kindly sings a lullaby to Teresa to get her to go to sleep, then begins to reflect on it. Come "Mirror Image" and the sequel series where it's revealed that he is father of four daughters after Sam changes his and Beth's history, it's incredibly heartwarming. Al: God, Sam, I never really wanted to have kids, but...
# Heartwarming.{{Sing}}: Buster genuinely enjoys most of the performances he sees, and is implied to be watching every single act all the way through without interrupting. Even when Meena's stage fright gets the better of her, Buster remains perfectly calm and encouraging, even asking if she'd like to start over.Buster's treatment of these auditions goes on to be HeartwarmingInHindsight when the second film introduces the cruel entertainment mogul Jimmy Crystal, who is much harsher with his performers and even has a buzzer to cut them off, not letting a single one - including Buster's troupe themselves - finish their act before he dismisses them. This stark contrast in their attitudes makes it clear from the start that Buster is Jimmy's Good Counterpart.

King Edmund trying to destroy the Moonstone in "Beyond the Walls of Corona" becomes HeartwarmingInHindsight when one realizes he was also driven by fatherly instincts.

# Heartwarming.SomeLikeItHot: As Daphne gives Osgood a laundry list of reasons they can't get married, Osgood seems rather quick and willing to accept all of Daphne's flaws. Even after Osgood discovers Daphne's true gender, Osgood simply replies with, "Well, nobody's perfect!" If It's You, It's Okay indeed. Doubles as HeartwarmingInHindsight as the current generation is now more accepting of same-sex marriages.Also, while Jerry looks rather baffled by this, he also doesn't look particularly upset. For all we know, they get married.

Also, Iruka and Kakashi, who are the closest thing to fathers that Naruto has ever had, are shown standing directly to Naruto's right side, which is traditionally where his family would be. Meaning that until Goku got reinstated after his loss was revealed to be due to Frost cheating, Vegeta was the only fighter Beerus had left. That is showing some real faith.

Sounds boring on paper (or screen) but is well-written with enough engaging dialogue to make you go, “Wait, did I seriously just enjoy a fanfiction about characters going shopping?”Special mention goes to the ending, which puts the fic's events in a new light.

# Heartwarming.ScoobyDooMysteryIncorporated: For the twists and turns and depression that was Episode 26, Mayor Jones rescuing Fred stood out and showed that even with all the abuse and neglect that he put him through, he still cared for Fred's safety.Becomes even more HeartwarmingInHindsight when it turns out that in spite of his good side being sealed away by the curse, hearing his son cry out for help because he was about to die was enough to break him out of the curse albeit temporarily.
# YMMV.ApolloJusticeAceAttorney: During case 3, Apollo admits he feels sympathy for Machi Tobaye, considering how hard it must be to be alone in a foreign country at such a young age. Come Spirit of Justice, we learn that a lot of Apollo’s past trauma stems from being sent to live in America when he was only nine years old, after which he fell out of touch with his foster family in Khura’in and had to start from scratch. Also from case 3, there are a few instances where Apollo considers learning to play guitar, with Trucy suggesting that if he does, he could accompany her performances with his music. This becomes more poignant after you learn of Apollo’s connections to Troupe Gramarye later in the game. Even more so, Spirit of Justice reveals that not only was Apollo’s father a performer, he was a guitarist.

You don't expect that from a spoiled princess.

In the first film, Kristen Wiig voices the cruel Miss Hannigan expy Miss Hattie, who despises the girls and does everything she can to make their lives with her miserable. As the character doesn't appear in any of the sequels, Wiig was recast as Lucy Wilde, who loves the girls just as much as Gru does.

# YMMV.SpiderMan3: Before the film's release, Stan Lee considered his cameo in the movie to be his personal favorite up to that point. In light of his passing, some fans have agreed that it's easily one of his most poignant. This also applies to Venom, who appears in the movie for ten to fifteen minutes but does a lot in such a short time frame, not to mention that he has a memorable battle against Spider-Man. Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy does a pretty good job despite having a character so underused she was almost entirely redundant. One gets the impression she could have been a great love interest had there not been a dozen other competing plotlines and characters. A far more minor character, but the little boy who expresses a Girls Have Cooties reaction when Spider-Man kisses Gwen.
# YMMV.{{Gnomes}}: During the lecture at the end of the story, Tomte notes the practical extinction of wolves and beavers in Europe. As of 2022, Eurasian Beavers are classified as a Least Concern species due to successful reintroduction and conservationism across mainland Europe, with some also being brought to the British Isles (this is ongoing but seems to be going well). Wolves, meanwhile, are recovering steadily from centuries of being hunted and killed. Bears, another group Tomte mentioned as being reduced severely, are also recovering, and the European Bison, an animal that was once hunted to extinction in the wild, has recovered via captive populations. While not completely returned to their territory, the European Bison has been classified as Not Threatened by the IUCN.
# YMMV.TheGoldenGirls: Of all the girls, Dorothy was the biggest Butt-Monkey when it came to her eligibility among men, receiving snide comments about her looks, fashion sense, and her personality from all corners of life, including her mother. While it served as a large source of humor in the show, it was clear that Dorothy struggled the most when it came to finding love with another again, especially as she was still coming to terms with her bitter divorce from Stan. Come the series finale, Dorothy is the first of the four to remarry and to permanently resettle into her new life, in spite of all the mockery and put-downs she received in her efforts, and with the full blessing of her friends, her family, and even her former husband.
# Heartwarming.TheWatchers: The Watcher, in episode 1, did not hide his emotions when he interrogated the victim, James, on what he did to the poor girl who submitted his name on their list (James was later revealed to have beaten the poor girl senseless just because of differences in nationalities). It is certainly HeartwarmingInHindsight to see the Watcher being protective of his more defenseless clients.

# YMMV.FiveNightsAtFreddysSecurityBreach: Roxanne's insecurity over her popularity and self-worth becomes this now that she's one of the more popular characters from the game, and not just for obvious reasons; even without leather pantsing her, there are fans who wish to hug her and tell her that she's the best and/or that she's not a loser, and also — as stated below — longed for the DLC to give her and the other Glamrocks a happy ending, possibly even acquiring her as an ally. While she didn't get repaired, she did become an ally (albeit only during a brief cutscene near the end), so it seems fans got their wish to some extent.

Also from case 3, there are a few instances where Apollo considers learning to play guitar, with Trucy suggesting that if he does, he could accompany her performances with his music. This becomes more poignant after you learn of Apollo’s connections to Troupe Gramarye later in the game. Even more so, Spirit of Justice reveals that not only was Apollo’s father a performer, he was a guitarist.

By the second scene in the first episode, she wants Bloom to attend Alfea with her, she practically drags Bloom on a shopping spree in the third episode, she couldn't care less that the boy she loves is not royal and one scene in an episode of the season one finale implies that she's angrier at Sky for hurting Bloom. You don't expect that from a spoiled princess.
# YMMV.DespicableMe1: The minion's cheering for Gru in their first appearance is a lot nicer after seeing their struggles to finding a boss and meeting Gru as a child. Even better, they break their long-infamous tradition of accidentally killing their chosen master and instead successfully save them! In the first film, Kristen Wiig voices the cruel Miss Hannigan expy Miss Hattie, who despises the girls and does everything she can to make their lives with her miserable. As the character doesn't appear in any of the sequels, Wiig was recast as Lucy Wilde, who loves the girls just as much as Gru does.

# YMMV.SpiderMan3: Before the film's release, Stan Lee considered his cameo in the movie to be his personal favorite up to that point. In light of his passing, some fans have agreed that it's easily one of his most poignant. Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy does a pretty good job despite having a character so underused she was almost entirely redundant. # YMMV.SpiderMan3: Before the film's release, Stan Lee considered his cameo in the movie to be his personal favorite up to that point. In light of his passing, some fans have agreed that it's easily one of his most poignant. This also applies to Venom, who appears in the movie for ten to fifteen minutes but does a lot in such a short time frame, not to mention that he has a memorable battle against Spider-Man. Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy does a pretty good job despite having a character so underused she was almost entirely redundant. One gets the impression she could have been a great love interest had there not been a dozen other competing plotlines and characters. A far more minor character, but the little boy who expresses a Girls Have Cooties reaction when Spider-Man kisses Gwen.
# YMMV.{{Gnomes}}: During the lecture at the end of the story, Tomte notes the practical extinction of wolves and beavers in Europe. As of 2022, Eurasian Beavers are classified as a Least Concern species due to successful reintroduction and conservationism across mainland Europe, with some also being brought to the British Isles (this is ongoing but seems to be going well). Wolves, meanwhile, are recovering steadily from centuries of being hunted and killed. Bears, another group Tomte mentioned as being reduced severely, are also recovering, and the European Bison, an animal that was once hunted to extinction in the wild, has recovered via captive populations. While not completely returned to their territory, the European Bison has been classified as Not Threatened by the IUCN.
# YMMV.TheGoldenGirls: Of all the girls, Dorothy was the biggest Butt-Monkey when it came to her eligibility among men, receiving snide comments about her looks, fashion sense, and her personality from all corners of life, including her mother. While it served as a large source of humor in the show, it was clear that Dorothy struggled the most when it came to finding love with another again, especially as she was still coming to terms with her bitter divorce from Stan. Come the series finale, Dorothy is the first of the four to remarry and to permanently resettle into her new life, in spite of all the mockery and put-downs she received in her efforts, and with the full blessing of her friends, her family, and even her former husband.
# Heartwarming.TheWatchers: The Watcher, in episode 1, did not hide his emotions when he interrogated the victim, James, on what he did to the poor girl who submitted his name on their list (James was later revealed to have beaten the poor girl senseless just because of differences in nationalities). It is certainly HeartwarmingInHindsight to see the Watcher being protective of his more defenseless clients.

# Anime.YuriOnIce: Episode 7. The one with that infamous The Big Damn Kiss — yes, it did happen. The writers have stated that Episode 10 was a filler. Yet, after watching it, you have to watch the whole show from the start, because the episode changes everything that's happened up until that point, particularly regarding Victor's interactions with Yuri, and Christophe's relationship with Yuri. And most of all, the development of the plot as a whole gets an entirely deeper meaning. Without explaining why, Episode 11 is by far the most emotionally-devastating one of them all.

Even when Meena's stage fright gets the better of her, Buster remains perfectly calm and encouraging, even asking if she'd like to start over.Buster's treatment of these auditions goes on to be HeartwarmingInHindsight when the second film introduces the cruel entertainment mogul Jimmy Crystal, who is much harsher with his performers and even has a buzzer to cut them off, not letting a single one - including Buster's troupe themselves - finish their act before he dismisses them. This stark contrast in their attitudes makes it clear from the start that Buster is Jimmy's Good Counterpart.

Come Spirit of Justice, we learn that a lot of Apollo’s past trauma stems from being sent to live in America when he was only nine years old, after which he fell out of touch with his foster family in Khura’in and had to start from scratch. Also from case 3, there are a few instances where Apollo considers learning to play guitar, with Trucy suggesting that if he does, he could accompany her performances with his music. This becomes more poignant after you learn of Apollo’s connections to Troupe Gramarye later in the game. Even more so, Spirit of Justice reveals that not only was Apollo’s father a performer, he was a guitarist.

Jet succeeds in rescuing his parents, the digital world is safe, with humans and Programs resuming a peaceful symbiosis. The sequel comic also implies that Jet goes on to take the belief that a User like him has a responsibility to protect and care for the Programs.

# Heartwarming.WinxClub: In hindsight, Stella is a big ball of heartwarming. She is very spoiled and vain and sometimes even mean. However, she clearly does not consider herself above commoners. By the second scene in the first episode, she wants Bloom to attend Alfea with her, she practically drags Bloom on a shopping spree in the third episode, she couldn't care less that the boy she loves is not royal and one scene in an episode of the season one finale implies that she's angrier at Sky for hurting Bloom. You don't expect that from a spoiled princess.
# YMMV.DespicableMe1: The minion's cheering for Gru in their first appearance is a lot nicer after seeing their struggles to finding a boss and meeting Gru as a child. Even better, they break their long-infamous tradition of accidentally killing their chosen master and instead successfully save them! In the first film, Kristen Wiig voices the cruel Miss Hannigan expy Miss Hattie, who despises the girls and does everything she can to make their lives with her miserable. As the character doesn't appear in any of the sequels, Wiig was recast as Lucy Wilde, who loves the girls just as much as Gru does.

The fact that she dies in her rabbit form makes it worse.

Vikki`s response before delivering the final blow is that Jared risked his life to save her and another world from a similar sort of danger, implying that his heroics from book one inspired her to do the same here.
# YMMV.SpiderMan3: Before the film's release, Stan Lee considered his cameo in the movie to be his personal favorite up to that point. In light of his passing, some fans have agreed that it's easily one of his most poignant. This also applies to Venom, who appears in the movie for ten to fifteen minutes but does a lot in such a short time frame, not to mention that he has a memorable battle against Spider-Man. Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy does a pretty good job despite having a character so underused she was almost entirely redundant. One gets the impression she could have been a great love interest had there not been a dozen other competing plotlines and characters. A far more minor character, but the little boy who expresses a Girls Have Cooties reaction when Spider-Man kisses Gwen.
# YMMV.{{Gnomes}}: During the lecture at the end of the story, Tomte notes the practical extinction of wolves and beavers in Europe. As of 2022, Eurasian Beavers are classified as a Least Concern species due to successful reintroduction and conservationism across mainland Europe, with some also being brought to the British Isles (this is ongoing but seems to be going well). Wolves, meanwhile, are recovering steadily from centuries of being hunted and killed. Bears, another group Tomte mentioned as being reduced severely, are also recovering, and the European Bison, an animal that was once hunted to extinction in the wild, has recovered via captive populations. While not completely returned to their territory, the European Bison has been classified as Not Threatened by the IUCN.
# YMMV.TheGoldenGirls: Of all the girls, Dorothy was the biggest Butt-Monkey when it came to her eligibility among men, receiving snide comments about her looks, fashion sense, and her personality from all corners of life, including her mother. While it served as a large source of humor in the show, it was clear that Dorothy struggled the most when it came to finding love with another again, especially as she was still coming to terms with her bitter divorce from Stan. Come the series finale, Dorothy is the first of the four to remarry and to permanently resettle into her new life, in spite of all the mockery and put-downs she received in her efforts, and with the full blessing of her friends, her family, and even her former husband.
# Heartwarming.TheWatchers: The Watcher, in episode 1, did not hide his emotions when he interrogated the victim, James, on what he did to the poor girl who submitted his name on their list (James was later revealed to have beaten the poor girl senseless just because of differences in nationalities). It is certainly HeartwarmingInHindsight to see the Watcher being protective of his more defenseless clients.

So I hope you bear in mind that any knock at him is a knock at me, and I am far too young to defend myself against such onslaughts.". "Lisa's Wedding" would show that she wouldn't forget this thinking, as the flash-forward to her adulthood showed her breaking her off her wedding with her fiancé Hugh because he tried to cut Homer out of her life.
# YMMV.FiveNightsAtFreddysSecurityBreach: Roxanne's insecurity over her popularity and self-worth becomes this now that she's one of the more popular characters from the game, and not just for obvious reasons; even without leather pantsing her, there are fans who wish to hug her and tell her that she's the best and/or that she's not a loser, and also — as stated below — longed for the DLC to give her and the other Glamrocks a happy ending, possibly even acquiring her as an ally. While she didn't get repaired, she did become an ally (albeit only during a brief cutscene near the end), so it seems fans got their wish to some extent.

# YMMV.SouthParkS4E5CartmanJoinsNAMBLA: In this episode, Kenny is terrified of getting a little sibling and goes to drastic lengths to prevent it, partly because he hates the idea of having to share food or care for them. If only he knew that in later episodes, not only would he suddenly have a little sister, he would frequently give her advice, beat up bullies, and use all of his money to keep her happy.
# Anime.YuriOnIce: Episode 7. The one with that infamous The Big Damn Kiss — yes, it did happen. The writers have stated that Episode 10 was a filler. Yet, after watching it, you have to watch the whole show from the start, because the episode changes everything that's happened up until that point, particularly regarding Victor's interactions with Yuri, and Christophe's relationship with Yuri. And most of all, the development of the plot as a whole gets an entirely deeper meaning. Without explaining why, Episode 11 is by far the most emotionally-devastating one of them all.

Al: God, Sam, I never really wanted to have kids, but...
# Heartwarming.{{Sing}}: Buster genuinely enjoys most of the performances he sees, and is implied to be watching every single act all the way through without interrupting. Even when Meena's stage fright gets the better of her, Buster remains perfectly calm and encouraging, even asking if she'd like to start over.Buster's treatment of these auditions goes on to be HeartwarmingInHindsight when the second film introduces the cruel entertainment mogul Jimmy Crystal, who is much harsher with his performers and even has a buzzer to cut them off, not letting a single one - including Buster's troupe themselves - finish their act before he dismisses them. This stark contrast in their attitudes makes it clear from the start that Buster is Jimmy's Good Counterpart.

Doubles as HeartwarmingInHindsight as the current generation is now more accepting of same-sex marriages.Also, while Jerry looks rather baffled by this, he also doesn't look particularly upset. # YMMV.ApolloJusticeAceAttorney: During case 3, Apollo admits he feels sympathy for Machi Tobaye, considering how hard it must be to be alone in a foreign country at such a young age. Come Spirit of Justice, we learn that a lot of Apollo’s past trauma stems from being sent to live in America when he was only nine years old, after which he fell out of touch with his foster family in Khura’in and had to start from scratch. Also from case 3, there are a few instances where Apollo considers learning to play guitar, with Trucy suggesting that if he does, he could accompany her performances with his music. This becomes more poignant after you learn of Apollo’s connections to Troupe Gramarye later in the game. Even more so, Spirit of Justice reveals that not only was Apollo’s father a performer, he was a guitarist.

Jet succeeds in rescuing his parents, the digital world is safe, with humans and Programs resuming a peaceful symbiosis. The sequel comic also implies that Jet goes on to take the belief that a User like him has a responsibility to protect and care for the Programs.

Dream Drop Distance outright confirms that Nobodies are indeed capable of growing a new heart. Axel's Secret Report (Day 299): "There's no guilt, no feeling at all. So why does it still sting, just a little, when I lie to him? All my dealings with Roxas give me this bizarre illusion of humanity." One of Roxas's (and by extension, Xion's) first Keyblades is the Missing Ache. Kingdom Hearts Union χ reveals that this used to be Ven's Keyblade, so in hindsight, the Missing Ache returned to its original owner, in a way. When Roxas leaves the Organization, he states that the person who knows where he came from would be the one that he trusts. Anyone who played Kingdom Hearts II would know that person is Naminé, who served as an Implied Love Interest to Roxas in that game.

# YMMV.Joker2019: Joaquin Phoenix was good friends with the late Joker actor Heath Ledger. At the end of the movie, some rioters driving a stolen ambulance crash into the squad car carrying Arthur, and get him out once they recognize him as the Joker. Around the same time as the film's release, Joaquin Phoenix crashed his Tesla while making a right turn out of a parking lot into an emergency vehicle. His car was damaged in the low velocity crash, but the unoccupied emergency vehicle only got a few noticeable scratches, and after tracking down the paramedics, he explained what happened, and after the police filed the report, they decided not cite him since he didn't raise a fuss, and apologized.

Leo pulling Big Damn Heroes at the last minute, which Danny Slavin did as a favour, ended up paralelling real-life; he initially regarded his time as an Old Shame, but warmed towards it in the 2010s; coming back for Power Rangers Megaforce and going to a convention.

# Heartwarming.WinxClub: In hindsight, Stella is a big ball of heartwarming. She is very spoiled and vain and sometimes even mean. However, she clearly does not consider herself above commoners. By the second scene in the first episode, she wants Bloom to attend Alfea with her, she practically drags Bloom on a shopping spree in the third episode, she couldn't care less that the boy she loves is not royal and one scene in an episode of the season one finale implies that she's angrier at Sky for hurting Bloom. You don't expect that from a spoiled princess.
# YMMV.DespicableMe1: The minion's cheering for Gru in their first appearance is a lot nicer after seeing their struggles to finding a boss and meeting Gru as a child. Even better, they break their long-infamous tradition of accidentally killing their chosen master and instead successfully save them! In the first film, Kristen Wiig voices the cruel Miss Hannigan expy Miss Hattie, who despises the girls and does everything she can to make their lives with her miserable. As the character doesn't appear in any of the sequels, Wiig was recast as Lucy Wilde, who loves the girls just as much as Gru does.
# YMMV.TheSimpsonsS23E19ATotallyFunThingBartWillNeverDoAgain: In Blame It On Lisa, Bart expressed eagerness in completing his goal of being on every continent only for Lisa to point out that they haven't been to Antarctica yet. The episode ends not only with the Simpsons going to Antarctica (unwillingly) but enjoying themselves via penguin sliding means that he completed his goal on a happy note.
