** In Act VI chapter 42, Mizore saves Arial from being killed by an enraged Kokoa, who has unleashed her [[ManOnFire overcharge]]. Arial scornfully remarks that all Mizore really did was knock her down and that she could have taken Kokoa down on her own; when Mizore points out that Kokoa was on fire and that Arial, as a snow girl, would most likely have been incinerated by simply being near her, Arial openly dismisses it and hits her in the forehead with a shard of ice.

* WantsAPrizeForBasicDecency: Taken UpToEleven; in Act IV chapter 11, after bisecting Luna, Falla tells Kurumu that she should be grateful to her for doing so since she's ensured that Luna won't ever hound Rason again, and outright accuses her of being an UngratefulBitch when she doesn't do so. Even before that, in chapter 6, Falla points out to everyone in Ms. Nekonome's class that had she not intervened in the timeline, everyone would have died; aside from the fact that no one but Tsukune's group has any idea what she's talking about, the ''only'' reason Falla helped to avert Luna's SuicidalCosmicTemperTantrum at the end of Act III was [[ItsAllAboutMe to serve]] [[PragmaticVillainy her own interests]], as Luna was the only one who could free her from her [[SealedEvilInACan prison]].

** In Act VI chapter 47, Render calls out a member of the [=HDA=] for trying to kill monster kids even if they were JustFollowingOrders, sarcastically quipping that he "must feel so proud." Said [=HDA=] officer bitterly remarks that he doesn't care if the monsters responsible for the attack on the school during Act V were kids because said monsters [[AdultFear killed his daughter]].

* ThoseTwoBadGuys: Akua and Kahlua serve as such during Acts II and III, being Kiria's CoDragons during that time. When Moka realizes in Act III chapter 42 that Akua has been working for Fairy Tale all along, Kokoa instantly deduces that Kahlua is also part of the organization as well because "that damned brat never leaves [Akua's] side for anything."

* WitchSpecies: In addition to generic witches, we have mages like Ahakon. Unlike witches, mages are able to cast spells without wands, but have smaller magical reserves. As the fic continues, it also introduces sub-species of mages, such as [[HealingHands catalyst mages]], [[PowerCopying mimic mages]], and [[MagicKnight battlemages]]. There's also warlocks, who differ from witches in that they don't need wands and focus on NonElemental magic to cause direct pain and injury, such as [[ChainPain chains]] and {{curse}}s.

* WorldOfJerkass: Especially during the first three acts. As frequently lampshaded, just about everyone at Yokai Academy is a bully and/or pervert; it reaches a head in Act III, where the entire studeny body, disbelieving that Tsukune and his friends actually did fight Fairy Tale and believing them to just be fakers claiming as such for attention, take virtually every possible opportunity to harass, bully, and mistreat them, climaxing in [[StalkerWithACrush Kano]] blackmailing the girls into letting him take dirty pictures of them and nearly raping them outright; it reaches a point where [[RefuseToRescueTheDisliked Felucia asks the others in earnest]] ''[[RefuseToRescueTheDisliked why]]'' [[RefuseToRescueTheDisliked they should bother saving such assholes from Kuyou's upcoming attack]]. While they suffer a JerkassRealization when they see the truth for themselves and it levels off significantly afterward, some aspects remain, with several people being stupid or jerkish enough to try to hit on Moka and the other girls despite full knowledge of who they're dating.
