* TheWoobie: Poor Red... A NervousWreck at the best of times, her entire existence until she arrived on Earth was in [[SlaveSpecies chattel slavery to various owners]], when she was kidnapped by SpetzNaz operatives and dragged in front of [[TheWarRoom an emergency UN Session]] called by Russia and [[AnArmAndALeg ''mutilated'']] in front of everyone present. If it weren't for the timely arrival of Director Asriel to take her off Russia's hands and reassure the UN delegates she'd either be carved up on an [[StrappedToAnOperatingTable operating table]] in some Russian blacksite or [[AtomicHate obliterated]] in WorldWarIII.

Wrath of the Gempire is an ongoing [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover Massively Multiplayer Crossover]] roleplay based on the premise of the Gempire from the Steven Universe franchise invading [[Roleplay/EnterTheArenaAsYourAvatar the Arena]] and [[DarkerAndEdgier actually living up to their reputation.]] Opposing them are [[RagtagBunchOfMisfits the Coalition]], a loose group of native inhabitants and [[DefectorFromDecadence traitor gems]] who are desperately trying to [[LaResistance push back the invaders]] and stop them from [[PlanetLooters draining the life force of the planet and]] [[GaiasLament leaving barren wasteland in their wake.]]

The story is divided into three arcs ([[WritingByTheSeatOfYourPants though this may be subject to change]]), each one centred around a particular Diamond (or two) in which the end goal is to defeat the invasion and reverse the damage done, though [[WeAREStrugglingTogether each faction has their own vision on how to achieve this.]]

* AlternateUniverse: The entire roleplay takes place in an alternate Arena that is specifically stated to be a planet with at least five moons and most of the particularly [[GameBreaker game-breaking]] characters absent.

* CoolBike: [[FieryRedhead Undyne]] rides one directly into the Coalition Headquarters to look for their Leader, Jason Bracket.
* DisasterDemocracy: The Coalition Council is formed with, [[WatsonianVersusDoylist depending on perspective,]] either representatives of each affiliated faction in the Coalition, or each main character.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: In the first mission, each participating character recieved a reward based on their actions. [[TheBerserker One character]] got a bonus against [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Mooks low-ranking gems]] because he went [[LeeroyJenkins absolutely ham]] on a large concentration of them, for example. The system was poorly suited to a freeform roleplay and was quickly scrapped.

* MoodWhiplash: Immediately after Undyne makes a timely Spaceballs reference, Jason Bracket prepares to [[ObligatoryWarCrimeScene execute one of their unarmed prisoners]].
* PowerCreep: Ebott is very guilty of this, being written by [[ButHeSoundsHandsome someone who]] [[InvertedTrope has issues with]] [[SelfDeprecation not having the strongest characters in the room]]. Eventually another roleplayer got so sick of this they [[HeWhoFightsMonsters introduced their own character to be more powerful than]] [[AlwaysABiggerFish anything Ebott could reasonably have written in for them]].
* ShockingDefeatLegacy: When Ebott lost an entire dreadnought tank to a golorified police squadron, they imediately reacted with a flurry of shielding recalibrations [[spoiler: and the beginning of constructing the Behemoth]].

** [[AwesomePersonnelCarrier The original]] [[TechnicallyATransport EDS Dreadnought]], the primary transport of the Director and specialising in [[TanksButNoTanks personnel carrying]] and testing advanced technology that could be useful when applied to the other vehicles. It was [[CurbstompBattle destroyed trying to reach the first peace conference]] by a Gemperial [[CrackDefeat police]] [[ShockingDefeatLegacy squadron]].
** [[KineticWeaponsAreJustBetter The EDS Bombard]], a [[TanksButNoTanks self-propelled artillery piece]] with an [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill enormous 1000mm main gun]] that [[HyperspaceArsenal takes up most]] [[DownplayedTrope of the vehicle]].

[[UpToEleven EIGHTEEN TIMES larger than a regular-sized Dreadnought]], this vehicle is meant to be [[MilitaryMashupMachine the culmination of every other Dreadnought thus far]], carrying twelve 1000mm guns distributed around it's sides, tens of flak batteries on top, flamethrowers on each flank and a massive 'grinder' worked into the chassis - a huge collection of gears and toothed rollers designed to [[RammingAlwaysWorks literally roll over enemy armour when they pass the range of the tanks guns.]]]] [[spoiler: With Director Asriel as of writing facing the stark possiility of [[TheCoup being overthrown,]] the Behemoth's future is highly uncertain.]]
