In Spring of 1942, former 1936 Olympic athlete turned Nazi agent Fausta Grables (Lynda Day George) arrives at the secret Nazi headquarters of Colonel Kesselmann to announce her intention to go to the US and capture Wonder Woman. Kesselman is dismissive of her claims but she brushes aside his doubts with footage which she claims the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler, himself watched for over six hours. Appointed as the Fuhrer's representative for ''Operation: Fräulein'' is launched; the goal being to apprehend Wonder Woman and take her back to Germany for questioning and further study.

Fausta poses as a cleaning lady at the War Department and manages to gas Steve Trevor, knowing Wonder Woman will come to his rescue. When Wonder Woman does show up, Fausta sees first hand the power of Wonder Woman’s magic lasso. She allows Steve to be rescued and determines that the lasso is the key to capturing our hero. Fausta then lays a new trap.

Fausta's next plan of action requires her own direct involvement. Disguising herself as Wonder Woman, she makes a special appearance at a bond rally. The real Wonder Woman then shows up to challenge the fake. However, a trap door in the stage causes Wonder Woman to drop into the hands of one of Fausta’s agents. He grabs the lasso and uses it to force Wonder Woman to tell the truth about how to weaken her. She answers that removing her magic belt will cause her powers to drain. Having the information they need and Wonder Woman subdued, Fausta flies back to Germany with Wonder Woman in tow.

Despite General Blankenship’s disapproval, Steve Trevor decides to launch his own rescue mission of Wonder Woman. But soons finds himself a prisoner of the Nazis when he's sold out by a Nazi double agent in the German resistance. Wonder Woman, meanwhile had earlier already escaped Kesselmann's headquarters, when he snatched the belt from Fausta's hand and threw it towards Wonder Woman. Though bound, Wonder Woman caught the belt, and was able to use her renewed strength to break free. Fausta deduces there must be some sort of relationship between Wonder Woman and Steve and notes to Kesselmann they can use him as bait to lure back the escaped Wonder Woman. Unsurprisingly, shortly after returning to Washington D.C., Diana learns of Steve's capture from General Blankenship and returns as Wonder Woman to German to rescue Steve.

Finding Steve somewhere in the lower layers of the castle and powering through most of the traps in the castle, they soon find themselves trapped in a deep cistern filling with water. At the surface of the pit, Kesselmann operates a device that would send enough volts of electricity into the cistern to kill them both. Noting the arguments between Fausta and Kesselmann, Wonder Woman use this conflict towards her advantage. She pleads with Fausta, telling her that she is a strong, intelligent woman, and that she should not have to receive such harsh treatment from men like Kesselmann. The ploy finally works, and Fausta turns against Kesselmann and gets Wonder Woman and Steve to safety.

Outside the castle, Fausta thanks her for helping her to see the light. Trevor is also grateful that Fausta betrayed the party, and makes special arrangements for her to work as a double agent for the local German underground in Berlin. Back in D.C., the following morning, Diana presents Steve with the report from their latest double agent, Fausta Grables. Steve comments on the great bravery it takes for Fausta to now work as a double agent with Diana responding that maybe all woman could perform such great wonders if given the chances to be put to the test. Steve, perplexed, notes that's exactly what Wonder Woman said. Diana only responding with a smile.

In the Spring of 1942 on the outskirts of Berlin, SS Colonel Kesselmann is visited by Colonel Fausta Grables, having with her recovered footage of the amazing Allied hero known as Wonder Woman. Dismissive of the footage, initially, Fausta overrides his concerns with the fact that that this footage was presented to Adolf Hitler himself who remained entranced by it for over six hours. The Fuhrer appointed her to be the lead woman on Operation: Fräulein, with the operation being under the auspices of Colonel Kesselmann, the goal being to apprehend Wonder Woman and take her back to Germany for questioning and further study. Kesselmann fears that she might attempt to usurp his authority with this operation or make a fool out of him however, she convinces him of the importance of Operation: Fräulein and the group sets about capturing Wonder Woman.

In Washington D.C. Steve Trevor is putting in a late night at the War Department. Dian Prince offers to stay in with him until he's done but says he doesn't mind and sends her home, having already worked 12 hours herself. As she departs Fausta, in the guise of a cleaning woman infiltrates Steve's office and uses knockout gas to capture him. The next morning, Diana and Etta Candy are questioning why Steve hasn't shown up to work yet and why he also left top secret files laying around openly on his desk. Using the alias Eloise Livingston, Fausta calls the office and speaks with Diana, warning her that Trevor had been kidnapped and that he had been taken to the South River Defense Plant. Diana, claiming she has an appointment to donate blood, asks if Etta could cover for while she then secretly spins into Wonder Woman and goes off to rescue Steve.

Wonder Woman arrives at the Defense Department and grapples with Mueller, one of Fausta's underlings, while Fausta watches from a safe distance. Using her Lasso of Truth on Mueller, Diana's able to find out where out where Steve has been hidden in the Defense Plant. Fausta amazed at the mystical properties of Wonder Woman's golden lasso and believes that this item will be the key to both the capturing Wonder Woman and learning the secrets of powers.

Fausta's next plan of action requires her own direct involvement. Disguising herself as Wonder Woman, she makes a special appearance at a bond rally for federal employees along with underlings also in disguise as part of the act. Fausta demonstrates her great strength by scoring the highest possible mark at "ring the bell". While the soldiers cheer, the real Wonder Woman appears and one-upped Grables by striking the mallet so hard, that the bell clapper flies off the top of the pole. Although some are perplexed, the spectators believe that the dual Wonder Women is merely part of the show. In the crowd are both Steve and Etta with Etta wondering both where Diana is and which of the two Wonder Women is the real one. The next obstacle has a weight lifting competition. When Wonder Woman prepares to lift a barbell, Fausta's agents activates a trap door beneath her. Wonder Woman falls beneath the stage, and the spy is able to incapacitate her using chroloform and using the lasso to learn how to make her helpless (removing her magic belt while she's away from Paradise Island). Hurriedly piling Wonder Woman into a waiting vehicle and they start driving towards a private airfield. Steve Trevor, having immediately recognized that the first "Wonder Woman" who appeared on the stage was obviously a fraud, realizes that the true Wonder Woman is now in great danger.

Unable to stop them before Diana is taken off by Fausta back to Nazi Germany, Steve attempts to convince General Blankenship to mount a rescue operation who turns it down saying it's too big a risk and even then, Wonder Woman could probably rescue herself. Seeing Steve is unconvinced, Blankenship orders Steve to take a few days off for some rest. Undeterred, Steve and Etta use the War Department code breakers to try and intercept any German message containing info on Wonder Woman's whereabouts. Intercepting Fausta's transmission to Kesselmann on her arrival back in Germany. Deciding to take Blankenship's orders, Steve uses his ordered time off to mount his own personal rescue mission of Wonder Woman.

Fausta arrives soon enough with Wonder Woman back in Germany at Kesselmann's headquarters. Stripped her of her magic belt and bound her to an interrogation table with her own lasso. She explains to Colonel Kesselmann and Fausta that the lasso forced anyone bound with it to tell the truth. Kesselmann doesn't believe her and felt that she was only trying to make him look foolish. Angrily, he snatched the belt from Fausta's hand and threw it towards Wonder Woman. Though bound, Wonder Woman caught the belt, and was able to use her renewed strength to break free. She grappled with Fausta, quickly defeating her and made her escape.

As luck would have it, Steve Trevor made private arrangements with his contacts in Britain and the German underground resistance to sneak behind enemy lines to rescue Wonder Woman. When he finally arrives at the Nazi castle, Wonder Woman has long since escaped. Fausta and the others capture Trevor and decided to use him as bait to trap Wonder Woman anew (Fausta deducing there must be some sort of relationship between the two.

Back in Washington D.C. upon learning of Steve's capture from General Blankenship, Diana returns to Kesselmann's castle in Germany and to rescue Steve. Finding Steve somewhere in the lower layers of the castle, they are interrupted by the arrival of Kesselmann and Fausta. Kesselmann prides himself on the various traps and pitfalls he has maintained throughout the castle, and activates a switch that forced the walls to close in on them. Wonder Woman and Steve evade the crushing walls, but soon found themselves trapped in a deep cistern filling with water. At the surface of the pit, Kesselmann operates a device that would send 50,000 volts of electricity into the cistern, killing them both. Fausta and Kesselmann continue to argue with one another, and Wonder Woman use this conflict towards her advantage. She pleaded with Fausta, telling her that she was a strong, intelligent woman, and that she should not have to receive such harsh treatment from men like Kesselmann. The ploy finally worked, and Fausta turned against her Nazi colleagues. She grappled with Kesslemann and threw him into the cistern. She then dropped a rope down into the pit, allowing Wonder Woman and Steve to climb to safety.

Outside the castle, Fausta thanks her for helping her to see the light. Trevor is also grateful that Fausta betrayed the party, and makes special arrangements for her to work as a double agent for the local German underground in Berlin.

Back in D.C., the following morning, Diana presents Steve with the report from their latest double agent, Fausta Grables. Steve comments on the great bravery it takes for Fausta to now work as a double agent with Diana responding that maybe all woman could perform such great responsibilities if given the put to the rest. Steve noting with interest that's exactly what Wonder Woman said, Diana only responding with a smile.
----
* AbandonedWarehouse: Fausta lures Wonder Woman to one using [[DistressedDude Steve Trevor]] as the bait.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Fausta, who was a brunette in the comics, is played by blonde-haired actress Lynda Day George.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: Colonel Kesselman throughtout the entire episode scoffs at the idea of a woman being as powerful as a man and the idea of Paradise Island, even though he's watched the films of [[SuperStrength what she]] [[CurbStompBattle can do]]. While he has Wonder Woman strapped to a table with restraints large enough to immobilize several football players, and has been ordered to do all of this on Hitler's personal orders he throws her belt of strength and magic lasso back to her! [[HilarityEnsues It was a]] [[IdiotBall bad decision.]]
* BadassInDistress: This is the first episode in the show where Wonder Woman loses her powers and taken prisoner for a good chunk of the episode.
* TheBait: Steve Trevor's main job. For example, in "Fausta the Nazi Wonder Woman", Steve is [[KnockoutGas gassed]] by Fausta and locked in a crate solely to draw out Wonder Woman and watch her beat up some {{Mooks}}. Later in the same episode, he's chained to a wall to capture Wonder Woman with crushing walls. [[spoiler: She's stronger than the Nazis counted on]]. In "Knockout", Steve spends the entire episode tied up and in the evil terrorist's clutches. [[spoiler: Thus dooming the group to be destroyed by Wonder Woman]].
* BangingForHelp: In "Fausta the Nazi Wonder Woman", a bound, gagged, and trapped in a crate Steve Trevor alerts Wonder Woman as to his whereabouts by kicking the crate and mmmmruphing through the gag. She rips open the crate to rescue him.
* BoundAndGagged: Early in the episode, Steve Trevor is kidnapped and stuffed in a crate in this condition.
* ClothesMakeTheSuperman: This version of Wonder Woman's weakness is exploited in this episode. She must wear her belt of strength to retain her strength, speed, and reflexes when she is not on Paradise Island. This is how Fausta and Nazis are able to incapacitate her for most of the episode.
* DamselInDistress: Wonder Woman was is gassed and brought as prisoner to Nazi Germany by Fausta and her lackeys. She however proves far too dangerous for the [[IdiotBall sexist self-righteous male supremacist idiot Colonel Kesselman]] to hold for long.
* DistressedDude: Steve is kidnapped and saved by Wonder Woman--twice--in this episode.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: There's quite a bit of [[UsefulNotes/{{BDSM}} bondage imagery]] in this episode with Diana being knocked out unconscious with chloroform while being bound by her own lasso and then spending most of her time in Germany in chains.
* DressingAsTheEnemy: A villainous example. Fausta dresses up as Wonder Woman for a faux war bond fundraiser to lure out the real Wonder Woman but wears a mask to cover up her face.
* EpicFail: Fausta Grables and Colonel Kesselman have captured Wonder Woman, taken her powers, kidnapped her to Germany, and have her strapped to a table for interrogation. They know about her magic lasso ''and even force her to answer questions under its power''. Despite this - and perhaps pushed by the fantastical answers Wonder Woman truthfully gives - he wants to torture information out of her rather than use the magic lasso. Fausta insists on using the lasso. This so enrages Kesselman that he grabs the belt and lasso from Grables and throws it away...right into Wonder Woman's hand.
--> '''Colonel Kesselman:''' And you with your supposed magic tricks! The golden lasso! The magic belt! Nonsense! ''Throws them both away''
--> '''Wonder Woman:''' ''Catches the belt and lasso then proceeds to snap the bonds of the interrogation table, wipe the floor with everyone in the room, rip the phone out of the wall, beat the stuffing out of a few more soldiers, steal a plane, and leave Germany.''
* FullBodyDisguise: When Fausta disguises herself as Wonder Woman, she also includes a golden mask to cover up her face. Amazingly, Steve Trevor, of all people, is the only one sees right through it (aside from Wonder Woman obviously).
* IdiotBall: Thanks to Fausta, Colonel Kesselman has successfully managed to have Wonder Woman rendered powerless and taken prisoner safely in Nazi Germany but she also successfully escapes entirely because of Kesselmen.
* InstantSedation: The Nazis get the drop on Wonder Woman through a trapdoor and then knocking her out with a chloroformed rag.
* LaResistance: A local German underground movement aides in both Wonder Woman and Steve's rescue attempts during their incursions into Germany.
* MookChivalry: Three Nazi goons in a row run up to Wonder Woman individually so she can throw each one of them into the same box. It's such an easy production line of beating thugs up that Fausta openly complains about it.
--> '''Fausta''': So far she shows nothing that I couldn't match
* MsFanservice: There's Diana obviously, but the scene where Fausta dresses up as Wonder Woman shows she fills out the costume well.
* MyKungFuIsStrongerThanYours: Wonder Woman, under control of the golden lasso, explains to a disbelieving Colonel Kesselman that her strength comes from training in a pure environment. And, of course, she had to beat every other Amazon in order to become Wonder Woman.
* [[OneManArmy One Woman Army]]: Once Wonder Woman gets a hold of her belt that restores her powers, she beats up the first three of four [[{{Mooks}} mooks]] so easily that she interrogated the last one and just let him go. And that was the preamble to breaking out of a Nazi interrogation room, overpowering multiple guards at once, and wiping the floor with everyone else in the room - including the Nazi Wonder Woman.
* OpenSaysMe: Wonder Woman breaks down doors to rescue Steve when he's being held prisoner in Nazi Germany
* PutTheirHeadsTogether: While being attacked by two Nazi guards Wonder Woman grabs their shoulders and knocks their heads together, knocking them out (they were wearing helmets at the time).
* SaveThePrincess: When Steve realizes Wonder Woman is being captured by the Nazis and taken behind enemy lines, he disobeys the order to not go after her but obeys the order to take a vacation...so he can go rescue her. He arrives just after Wonder Woman escapes and [[DistressedDude gets captured himself]]
* StrappedToAnOperatingTable: When Wonder Woman is captured, her belt of strength removed and put into this position. {{Pride}} saves the day as Fausta's superior officer [[IdiotBall throws the belt and lasso back to Wonder Woman.]] A minute later Wonder Woman is the only one left standing.
* TestYourStrengthGame: During a trap setup by Fausta, Wonder Woman sets the goal for a war bond drive via a Test Your Strength game. She hits the machine so hard that the bell [[SuperStrength rockets into the sky]]!
--> '''Wonder Woman:''' The sky's the limit when it comes to buying bonds!
* UninhibitedMusclePower: This is the canonical reason given for Wonder Woman's [[SuperStrength strength]] and the strength of all of the Amazons of Paradise Island when asked by Fausta and Kesselmen. Note that Wonder Woman was bound by her golden lasso at the time.
--> '''Fausta Grables''': What makes you so strong?
--> '''Wonder Woman''': On Paradise Island there are only women. Because of this pure environment we are able to develop our minds and our physical skills unhampered by masculine destructiveness.
* ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend: Fausta deduces Wonder Woman must have some relationship with Steve Trevor and specifically kidnaps Steve just to lure Wonder Woman and test her abilities. She passes.
* TheWallsAreClosingIn: Steve Trevor is held captive in such a room to lure Wonder Woman to her doom. The lure succeeds. The walls, however, don't.
* WolfWhistle: This can be heard when Wonder Woman walks up on stage at Fausta's faux war bond fundraiser.
* WorthyOpponent: Both Diana and Fausta have this for one another by the end of the episode.
