** The Brown family doesn't have it much better. Their mother refuses to make anything other than fruits and vegetables, and so the kids are dizzy, light-headed and have slurry voices because they're not getting enough proteins or nutrients only found in the animal products meat and dairy such as cobalamin.
* ParentalNeglect: Demarcus and Joy Brown hardly ever pay any attention to their children, leaving them alone at home for most of the day to focus on their militaristic boot camp. The Brown children aren't getting enough nutrition from protein and dairy since they're only allowed to eat fruits and vegetables.

* InsultBackfire: Curtis tries to pull off an insult at Joy saying that she can't run in high heels. As though he can run at all.
