* PopCulturalOsmosisFailure: When Thor first arrives, Peter mistakes him for a member of Music/VanHalen; not being from Earth, Thor doesn't know who Van Halen is.

* AllohistoricalAllusion:
** At Coney Island, Peter acquires a stuffed [[Characters/MCURocketRaccoon raccoon]] toy from an abandoned stall.
** T'Chaka snarks at Hank Pym and Bill Foster for [[Film/AntManAndTheWasp measuring sizes]].
