Digital Extremes previously said that Hayden Tenno, the protagonist of {{VideoGame/darkSector}}, is the first Tenno. Fans were skeptical whether events in VideoGame/DarkSector were canonically part of Warframe's timeline or not, up until mid-2015 when Digital Extremes retracted the statement and made it clear that {{VideoGame/darkSector}} is ''not'' canon to the Warframe timeline. At least, not directly. The events of {{VideoGame/darkSector}} still happened, but so far in the past that any effects on Warframe's plot is negligible.

Albrecht was tasked with discovering a method of interstellar travel, so that the Orokin empire did not 'die with the sun'. Using a bell made of seriglass, he traversed into the Void, despite his colleagues beleiving it to be a dead end. Upon activating his device, he was faced with a gaping trapezoid-- 'A door. A mouth.' He fell sideways into the void, past the Untime Door. On the other side, he began losing his sense of self.

For whatever reason, what we would know to be TheNineties on Earth was a wildly-different world in ''Warframe''. Written English runs on a different character set resembling Eastern Asian languages, the Apple Corporation was probably called "Pom" instead (as in the French word for "apple," "pomme"), [[BreadMilkEggsSquick and a plague of some kind was spreading]] -- widely and quickly enough for Albrecht Entrati to recognize its severity thousands of years in the future, and which may or may not be a precursor to the Orokin's Technocyte Plague.

Plague, given that strange biomechanical TV monsters were seemingly ''also'' a problem.

While not much is known of this era before Albrecht's intervention besides the above, the year 1999 in particular is marked by him as the "plague year" and a pivotal turning point in history, and ''not'' because of the beginning of the 21st century.

Receiving a call to Venus, the Tenno arrive in Fortuna, a Solaris Debt Internment Colony on Venus. Here, unlucky Corpus workers are forced into debt-slavery, having to sell off their body parts to make ends meet. The Tenno quickly meet up with the leader of Fortuna, Eudico, who is not happy to see them. Eudico tells them that if they wish to help, they should buy something from Thursby, who is facing a Repo Order -- if he does not pay off his debt soon, his bod parts -- organic ''and'' mechanical -- will be repossessed. All the while, Nef Anyo runs broadcasts in Fortuna, driving the Solaris to finish repairing an Orokin cooling tower that he wishes to present to the board.

All the while, Nef Anyo runs broadcasts in Fortuna, driving the Solaris to finish repairing an Orokin cooling tower that he wishes to present to the board.

Finally realizing that Nef's greed will never be satisfied, Eudico recalls the Tenno to Fortuna and admits that her methods are wrong, and that someone needs to take a stand against Anyo. After asking for and receiving the Tenno's support, Eudi sends them back up to the Vallis, enraging Biz, [[MissedASpotCheck who then realizes that his K-bomb is missing]]. On the surface, the Tenno use the K-bomb to wipe out the repo team, at which point [[HesBack Vox Solaris makes their return]]. Though initially surprised, Anyo refuses to back down, and eventually forces the Tenno to retreat when he sicks an [[HumongousMecha Orb]] [[SpiderTank Mother]] on them. Back in Fortuna, Biz apologizes to Eudico and subtly asks her to send "Vox" his thanks as well.

The fourth and final phase involvse actually destroying the Profit-Taker Orb. However, it turns out that the orbital overcharger shielding didn't get fully knocked out, just realligned, and the Profit-Taker is heading to the middle of nowhere to realign it. The Tenno rush out onto the Vallis to try to take down the Profit-Taker before it's too late, and with Little Duck providing covering fire, they're able to overcome the Sentient Shielding with a combiation of arch guns and void damage from the Operator.

Sentient forces have begun invading the Origin system; Condrix units, massive Sentient drop ships, crash on Earth and spit out Battalysts, Conculysts, and Aerolysts by the dozens, launched from Murexes in the Veil Proxima. With Little Duck acting as operations control from a Relay, the Tenno must work together to neutralize the threat-- some repel the Condrixes on Earth, acquiring Murex Kill Codes, which are then delivered to Railjack pilots in order to neutralize the Murexes in Space.

Eventually, the Condrixes are repelled, but the New War is just beginning...

The Entrati family are all scientists of some form, having learned to harness Void power during the height of the Orokin empire.

However, after the fall of the Orokin, Tenno and Dax forces stopped coming to Deimos, leading to the encroachment of Infestation until the Necralisk was the only part of the moon not affected. Now, Loid and Otak are calling on the Entrati to work together to stop the Heart of Deimos from failing.

After aiding Father, Daugther and Son in their fields of study, the Tenno is dispatched to the Heart itself, where they encounter a Necramech-- a form of Vehicle invented by Father meant for combatting the Infestation--that kills the Heart. The Tenno's transferrence signal is disrupted to the point of near non-functionality; however, this disaster forces the Entrati to realize they have to put their differences aside and work together to revive the Heart before Warframes are shut down for good.

After departing from Uranus, we’re treated to a flashback from the Zariman Ten-Zero. The Operator is in a classroom taught by Cephalon Melica, and are learning about the theories of time; particular attention is drawn to the concept of Eternalism, which states that all possibilities of past, present, and future are occurring at the same time, essentially setting up the concept of a Multiverse in Warframe.

Eudico recounts how several Solaris willingly put on a Veil, having dealt with the drudgery of debt-slavery for years, if not decades, to the point where any form of reprieve was welcome. The Unum still provides for the Ostron, despite the damage.
