When Dallas Police detective William Sadler is killed by a gang of burglars, one of his accomplices, namely Bobby Landrum, is forced to go on the run to his friend, Jesse's house (who happens to be nephew of Carlos), and hide the gun in his home so he doesn't get caught with it. Bobby is unable to retrieve the gang leader's gun from Jesse's house, because his mother, Theresa, and Carlos found it first, and Jesse is forced to confess that he did it or his mother dies.
